Pope Francis, "If Mary is not your Mother, you are an orphan!"
Charisma News ^ | 9/5/2014 | Jennifer LeClaire

Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.

But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:

"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.

As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...

I do believe fully that most Priests love the idea of people bowing before them like this...it's powerful and has many perks as well....

Go to a Mass; learn something! Then you can speak with more knowledge.

When they dug up St. Anthony's grave/corpse and moved it 30 years after his burial... when it was opened...it is claimed most of his body was found to have returned to dust......(many cathoics believe saint's bodies are incorruptable)... However 'his Tongue' remained fresh,... which was seen as 'a sign' of his of preaching, therefore they removed it and packaged it as a relic that people kiss and bow to.....

Here's the guy...well... what's left of him...looks like they hadn't decided how to dress him yet...

Here's what is suppose to be 'his "Tongue"....

And here they are parading 'his Tongue' out on this litter...The “feast of the tongue” celebrated in Colombo on Sri Lanka..... the tongue of “St. Anthony” had been transported from Italy to the Island nation in the Indian Ocean.

Have you ever noticed that with too many add-on’s on your computer eventually it will slow it down....or you get tangled up with what exactly which add-on does what you need? ......It’s the same with catholicism........layers and layers of add-ons.

Have you noticed that those refusing to renounce their faith in Syria and Iraq are Catholic and Orthodox believers in Jesus Christ? Have you noticed that they are faithful unto death and that you are outraged because of Christians being killed in the middle east.

These faithful Christians you are outraged for are part of this 'conspiracy of ishtar' according to bashers on this thread. They're dying for Christ, but their hearts really belong to Ishtar, I guess. /sarc

Rev 6 9When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters were killed just as they had been.

Too bad they didn’t spend all that headstone money, embalmment money, funeral service money, and flower money on “the living to demonstrate the love of Christ to a lost and dying world.”

Yeah, they could have propped up rotting corpses around the sanctuary and saved money!

Is your denomination called ‘the universal ekklesia’? I called that up on search engine and got no hits.

Are you a universalist? I get hits on that.

What is your denomination?

Only if they’re not afraid of death.

Most Christians anymore are terrified of death, haunts, ghosts, witches, warlocks, etc., etc.

They’re seemingly not strengthened at all by the conquest of death by Jesus. They fear evil things that go bump in the night.

...."a series of multicolored 'SKULLS' reminding us of God's promise of Victory over Death"......

AS Christians we don't ever look 'to skulls' to remind us of God's victory....we look at Jesus Christ and his victory over death...'His Resurrection' ....

Jesus proclaims clearly.....

... "I AM".... the resurrection and the life..... he who believes IN ME will live even if he dies,.... and everyone who lives and believes IN ME will never die......

Do you believe this?"

Most people won’t reveal, and rightly so, what church they go to and attend.....it’s a safety issue. ..and wise to be careful. You never know who is going to get information on you on line.

Could you give scripture reference to sanctioning "canonized saints". I don't remember reading where the apostles taught that. They considered all believers saints.

Why should that matter? She's currently a blessed, not yet a saint anyway, but she brought Jesus to the poor through her works. If you read about good (saintly) Catholics like Mother Teresa, maybe you wouldn't excoriate the beliefs of the Catholics so much.

Denomination is not ‘church I go to’, so that explanation doesn’t work.

One can say ‘baptistic’, or ‘mormonish’, or catholic, Pentecostal, or something. Or maybe independent Baptist...something like that.

And there’s no security issue at all.

>>Is your denomination called ‘the universal ekklesia’?<<

That is incredibly sad xzins. I just gave you the definition of the Greek word ekklesia as it applies to the ekkkesia of Christ and you didn't recognize it. That is the ekklesia (called out assembly) I belong to. The concept of denomination does not exist in scripture and certainly was not taught by the apostles.

What a rodger-dodger answer. There have been more twists than a rider eating a pretzel on a roller coaster.

And you still haven’t told us your denomination.

What is your denomination?

The linguistic derivation of Easter is from the Germanic languages. In non-Germanic languagues, the word pascha is preserved. In most of those languages, ‘east’ or a close homonym means the direction of the rising sun. (German ‘oesten”, English ‘east’, Dutch ‘oosten’, Danish ‘osten’, etc.)

Riiiiight. it had *nothing* to do with Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos, the various derivations of the Teutonic/Celtic dawn goddess or mother goddess, whose rites only look like they resemble the rites of Ishtar, Ashtoreth, Astarte, etc...

ANY similarity is purely coincidental... Really. [/sarc]

Only if they’re not afraid of death.

Most Christians anymore are terrified of death, haunts, ghosts, witches, warlocks, etc., etc.

They’re seemingly not strengthened at all by the conquest of death by Jesus. They fear evil things that go bump in the night.

Early Christians hid in catacombs to avoid being murdered. However, only Demoniacs surround themselves with desicated human remains when it’s not necessary...

Mark 5 -

They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes. When He got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him, and he had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him anymore, even with a chain; because he had often been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him and the shackles broken in pieces, and no one was strong enough to subdue him. Constantly, night and day, he was screaming among the tombs and in the mountains, and gashing himself with stones. Seeing Jesus from a distance, he ran up and bowed down before Him; and shouting with a loud voice, he said, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me!” For He had been saying to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!” And He was asking him, “What is your name?” And he said to Him, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” And he began to implore Him earnestly not to send them out of the country. Now there was a large herd of swine feeding nearby on the mountain. The demons implored Him, saying, “Send us into the swine so that we may enter them.” Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.

Their herdsmen ran away and reported it in the city and in the country. And the people came to see what it was that had happened. They *came to Jesus and observed the man who had been demon-possessed sitting down, clothed and in his right mind, the very man who had had the “legion”; and they became frightened. Those who had seen it described to them how it had happened to the demon-possessed man, and all about the swine. And they began to implore Him to leave their region. As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed was imploring Him that he might accompany Him. And He did not let him, but He said to him, “Go home to your people and report to them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you.” And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed.
