Wow. So you align yourself with two false religions’ (one of which is absolutely of the Devil) view of Christ’s Church.
mmmkay.
Judaism - false (they do not believe in Christ the Son of God)
Islam - false (they do not believe in Christ the Son of God)
Syncretized Christianity amd it’s Mary idolatry (the Papacy) - though they believe in Christ the Son of God, their Mariolatry, among their many other forms of syncretism, renders it a false religion, some would say a cult...like Mormonism.
Biblical Christianity, which believes in Christ the Son of God, and refutes the forms of paganiam found in the RCC, in this case it’s Mariolatry
Sola Scriptura is heresy.
You are so right, the scriptures are what separates us, those of us who hold the scriptures supreme, from the Papists who do not - who hold the Popes of Rome and its hierarchy, and its pagan superstitions, like Mariolatry, supreme.
Sola Scriptura is heresy.
Poor example. Adonjah request was a contrivance to take away the kingdom from Solomon. Bathsheba (ie, first queen) was a dupe for Adonjah. Not only did Solomon denied his mother's request, but he immediately had Adonjah killed for treason.
There is only the Trinity. There is no one else that we're to pray to or worship. With Mary, Catholics have made her the fourth person of the Trinity (oxy moron).
This person is merely praying.
She is praying to the person of Mary, the Mother of God. Not to the statue.
Sometimes I just shake my head at all these repeated misconceptions.
“In fact, Jesus and the first century church used these same ‘old testament’ books (or tanakh) when this thing called ‘christianity’ was just getting started”
The study of the Scriptures thrived throughout the middle ages, an era in which theology and Biblical studies were considered the “pinnacle of learning” and the “queen of the sciences.” During the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church preserved and transmitted the Scriptures. It is said that two monks working full-time required four years to transcribe the entire Bible. Hence, it was due to their incredible value and their desirability as an object to steal that Bibles were sometimes chained down in churches and libraries (as were other books of high value), and not because of a Church conspiracy to keep the Bible from the masses, as some would assert. To the contrary, the Church did all in its power to transmit the written word during the Middle Ages as it also helped to preserve Western learning and culture. Could care less if it was the New Testament or Old Testament. Fact is fact. The only Christians that existed before the heretic Luther broke the church apart were CATHOLICS. Without the Catholic CHurch there would no Bible, OT or NT.
Of course she can hear them. Why do you doubt?
Nothing, if it mattered to Christ, He would have prescribed it, He didn't. What matters is honoring Christ.
God can infuse us with knowledge, can't He?
Besides, we really don't know how time works in heaven, or what our glorified abilities will be.
Eye has not seen and ear has not heard, nor has the heart of man conceived the good things that God has in store for those who love Him!
Welcome! :)
Oh good, you read minds. If I send you a picture of my puppy, could you tell me what goes on in that head of hers?
