She is praying to the person of Mary, the Mother of God. Not to the statue.
Sometimes I just shake my head at all these repeated misconceptions.
So, if a million Catholics worldwide happen to be praying to Mary at the same time, can she hear all of them at the same time? Does she possess attributes of God? Is she omnipresent or omniscient?

Of course she can hear them. Why do you doubt?

Besides, we really don't know how time works in heaven, or what our glorified abilities will be.
Eye has not seen and ear has not heard, nor has the heart of man conceived the good things that God has in store for those who love Him!

I realize I am wasting my breath, but you do realize that in eternity, that time and space have no meaning.
