She is praying to the person of Mary, the Mother of God. Not to the statue.

Sometimes I just shake my head at all these repeated misconceptions.


So, if a million Catholics worldwide happen to be praying to Mary at the same time, can she hear all of them at the same time? Does she possess attributes of God? Is she omnipresent or omniscient?

God can infuse us with knowledge, can't He?

Besides, we really don't know how time works in heaven, or what our glorified abilities will be.
