“The social doctrines of the Catholic Church are not going to change no matter how hard liberals want them to”

I am specifically speaking of abortion, marriage and women
ordaination. Not going to change.

If you are a Protestant why are you obsessed with the Catholic Church? Was your GGGGGGGG grandpa Martin Luther and you’re just caring on the family tradition?

You seem to spend an exorbitant amount of time criticizing the Catholic Church. I just find it strange.

Romney was voted for as the lessor of the two evils.

Depends on what type of 'evil' is highest in your priorities I guess.

The lessor of two evils.

Nope.

A Mormon president would suck naïve folks into the web of deceit that is LDS, Inc.

VERY bad for a person's soul.

Romney would screw up your FOREVER; Obama only your NOW.

God is the Sovereign First Cause, the Secondary Cause should tread lightly concerning the audacity of the Sovereign.

Just think of the controversy that would be created amongst christians if Jesus returned to the world.

"He said this but He mean't that"

"He didn't mean that, what He really mean't was...."

"That's not Jesus, how do you know it's really Him?"

"That guy isn't Jesus, he's the anti-Christ..."

And thinking to myself, if Jesus returned, would he be wearing a suit and tie or bluejeans and a t-shirt?

"That guy isn't Jesus, Jesus would never wear a suit and tie!"

"That guy isn't Jesus, Jesus would certainly dress better than just bluejeans and a t-shirt"

AND, would he be walking or taking a taxi or driving a Corvette like the pastor of the last church I visited?

So many unknowns........../s I guess

There is no such thing as the Protestant Church.

And yet so many Catholics feel compelled to rail against it and condemn it en masse.

The only sodomite priests are the ones that are found out after they have been ordained. Then, like any other priest they are expected to remain celibate. If they can’t, just like any other priest, they are not allowed to remain in the priesthood. The Catholic Church will not allow in the priesthood any man that says he is a homosexual. The question is asked “do you have any homosexual tendencies”. Some answer no. If they answer yes they are not allowed in the priesthood. In other words they lie their way into the priesthood.

The Catholics church has had problems with homosexual priests for centuries and has yet to make any progress in addressing it.

Part of the problem is the *once a priest, always a priest* mentality of Catholics.

So when child molesting homosexual priests molest minors, it's covered up, they're moved from one parish to another, anything but defrocking them and reporting them to the police to let justice be served for breaking the law.

And there's no way anyone can deny that and retain any credibility. Thanks to those who have been molested and refuse to be bullied or strong armed into silence, they have spoken out and the world knows better.

It's rank hypocrisy for Catholics to condemn non-Catholics for ordaining or allowing homosexual clergy when the Catholic church is know for doing the exact same thing.

Good post, but no answer?

No internet.

Why so quick to judge?

Someone had to be first. I'd give odds that it's some kind of contest for them.

It seems like we PROTESTants want their pope to be infallible; while the Catholics know that he won’t be.

Then RC's shouldn't claim he is or can be.

And considering the number of questions I’ve asked of Catholics which have NEVER been answered. I find it ironic that they’re the first to whine when someone doesn’t answer on THEIR timetable.

Maybe someone had something better to do with their time. Like go out of town for overnight to deal with family issues and they had neither the time, nor the internet connection, nor a computer on which to answer.

When your defend an elitist church which promotes itself as the only one true and infallible church to whom all are to submit, then you should not adopt the liberal victim mentality when that premise and fantasy is examined and refuted.

But because it is exposed, thus the trajectory that you have followed, from trying to portray Rome as conservative by ignoring what she manifestly believes, to broadly attacking Protestantism as if all that what what was being promoted, to personally attacking the poster who substantiated the overall liberal product of modern Catholicism.

And which affirms that the proud pretensions of Rome have indeed been exposed. And the more she has been promoted her, then the more they have been, in Divine justice. .

Ithink we can all agree that sexual abuse by any human being of any creed is something we must all work towards preventing.

Since the news has brainwashed most Americans into thinking Catholic priest = child molester I thought some light should be shed on how this problem exists for our protestant friends as well.

I think the focus on CC abuse cases by the media and certain groups (not always religious) is because of the anti Christian agenda currently in full force. There are few things that disgust and infuriate people more than the sexual abuse of children. What better way to turn people against the Church than to say priests are pedophiles? It’s a genius tactic...but as we see, humans are sinful creatures who...sin. There are Catholic, Mormon, Jehovahs Witness, Methodist, Baptist, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist, Agnostic, Deist, and Pagan pedophiles. It does not serve anti Catholic agenda to sensationalize abuse cases in non Catholic religions.
