Kristi Noem has ‘no shot’ as Trump’s VP pick after puppy-killing controversy: sources

Gov. Kristi Noem has “no shot” at being Donald Trump’s running mate after revealing in a forthcoming book that she shot and killed her puppy, sources close to the 45th president tell The Post.

***

“She was already unlikely to be picked as VP, but had a shot,” the person said of Noem, who has been widely projected to be on Trump’s shortlist.

“After this, it’s just impossible.”

Noem writes, according to the Guardian, that she executed Cricket, a 14-month-old wirehaired pointer, after determining that the pooch’s “aggressive personality” made her “untrainable” as a hunting dog.

“It was not a pleasant job,” the 52-year-old recounts, “but it had to be done.”

*** “Trump isn’t a dog person necessarily,” “but I think he understands that you can’t choose a puppy killer as your pick, for blatantly obvious reasons.”

A second source told The Post that Trump “likes Kristi a lot,” but was “disappointed when hearing the ‘dog’ story. ***

Unfettered, Cricket attacked the family’s chickens, “grabb[ing] one chicken at a time, crunching it to death with one bite, then dropping it to attack another,” according to the governor.

When Noem tried to restrain the dog, Cricket “whipped around to bite me,” and was “the picture of pure joy” during the fowl-killing spree.

In the same excerpt, Noem described in graphic detail her killing a male goat who was “nasty and mean” because it was uncastrated, and “loved to chase” her children around.

To kill the goat, she “dragged him to the gravel pit” where she disposed of Cricket and had to shoot him repeatedly to finish the job.

We normally take out our own ourselves. It sucks, but we do it. Farm life. We even have a little cemetery.

"Would you feel better if they was pushed out of windows, little girl?"

One of my personal favorites.

THEN BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THE DOG WITH THE DEAD CHICKEN UNTILL THE DOG IS COVERED IN CHICKEN GUTS AND YOUR JUST HOLDING TWO DRUMSTICKS!

Just dont write a book and put that in it, lol.

If the neighbor took a photo, with you beating the hellout of the cringing crying dog, with a dead chicken, with your blood shot eyes bulging out, the pic would likely be on the front page if you were a republican running for anything in CA!

This is perhaps the dumbest thing I have seen a politician do (strictly in regards to electability) in decades.

Yeah, there’s a contingent in here of ‘That’s how we did it on the farm back in the day” folks, and most of us over 60 remember how it was done ‘back in the day’ but it’s a small minority of Americans, right, left, and center. About the same size contingent as the ‘Women shouldn’t vote’ or ‘State legislatures should select Senators’ folks, which is to say a small percentage of even the most conservative people.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

big time. she makes my skin crawl anyway, this was just one more needle in the eye.

the alleged list of VP candidates came out this morning for DJT and the ONLY 2 on the list I like are JD Vance or Burgum. I am not a fan of Tim Scott, Marco Rubio, Elise Stefanik or Kristi Noem.

I know it sounds kind of extreme, but it works and all my dogs are happy, healthy and gainfully employed.

I have seen a few items about doggy medical insurance and kind of wish I had known about it when they were pups, last vet visit was 2,376 dollars, and that was just for checkups, shots, and some meds for my older girls.

Not too extreme at all. Been there, done that, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, horses.

I was tongue in cheek emulating those who consider Noem a monster for the deed, then the publishing of same.
