“Look up the Moskva sinking”

It was on fire and sank...no lie there.

Do you think Jan 6th was really an ‘insurrection’?

#UPDATE: The spokesman of the the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense (HUR MO), Andriy Yusov, confirmed that the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine was supposed to take place today.

“But I can state that the exchange planned for today is currently not taking place,” he said.

But they did knowingly expose their crews, etc.
Ukraine has already shot down aircraft in the region. A military transport is a big, fat, legitimate target.

The Russians can be careless with the lives of their own men if they like. But it is not OK to risk POWs, under the Geneva convention.

It was incumbent on the Russians, at minimum, to inform Ukraine that this plane was carrying POWs. More, knowing that this airfield was under Uke SAM coverage, they should have used other means to transport POWs. Also, since Belgorod has been under Uke fire for months, those POWs shouldnt have been there.

It WAS sunk my a Ukrainian missile ... and Russia’s own actions are the proof

BECAUSE, right after the strike, Russia ordered all its warships to move a further 50 km away from the coast

Now why would Russia do that, if the Moskva sank because of a fire? Moving 50 km further away from the coast wouldn’t reduce the chances of other ships catching fire ... but it WOULD reduce the chance of being struck by another missile

Have you already forgotten the simple lessons we learned as kids, Bob?

“A military transport is a big, fat, legitimate target.”

Considering that Ukraine OBVIOUSLY knew it was filled with POWs pretty much should explain to others why there won’t be anything left of Ukraine when this war is over.

What are the consequences for violating the Geneva Convention?
1. A strongly worded letter?
2. A strong rebuke by the (communist) UN?
3. A citation like a traffic violaton?
4. Issued a date to appear, and released?
5. A note put in your permanent record? (whatever that is)
I don’t recall any country being bombed out of existence for such violations, so I’m curious.

“It was incumbent on the Russians, at minimum, to inform Ukraine that this plane was carrying POWs.”

Would you mind providing PROOF that the Russians didn’t inform NATO of their transport of POWs? Or perhaps you’re on the wrong forum?

I think you better look into this more closely before declaring what happened and why.

If they did they would have said so. Because that would transfer the responsibility to the Ukes. But they didnt.

“If they did they would have said so. Because that would transfer the responsibility to the Ukes. But they didnt.”

So they INTENTIONALLY wanted their plane to be shot down?

You sound REALLY DESPERATE here.

I think there probably were several violations of the Geneva convention here.

Stop whining and take your estrogen.

Thats the problem with war crimes. You have to win in order to prosecute the losers.

But there are other means. At some point guilty parties may want to go elsewhere, say. In places like Russia this happens rather often, no honor among thieves, etc. Also this adds to the reparations tab.

“No, I think they were stupid and criminally negligent.”

Ok, so it’s your opinion, based on your hatred of them.

I knew we’d get to bottom of this. Thanks!
