On Monday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” White House National Economic Council Director Lael Brainard reacted to negative poll numbers on the economy by stating that “the economy is performing exceptionally well” but “people have been through a very challenging few years between the pandemic, and then the oil price spikes associated with Russia’s war. It’s going to take a while for them to feel really confident,” and most people “feel like their personal finances are better now than they were before.”
Co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin said, “Speak to this, though, because I think there [are] a lot of folks who have been waking up to headlines of poll results over the weekend, as it relates to Bidenomics versus, frankly, Trumponomics and where he stands — the president that is — compared to where…the former president stands in terms of how people are thinking about the economy and how, frankly, unhappy they remain about the economy.”

In your dreams....My daughter had her job abolished after 30 years. She just turned 60. Hard to get a job when you’re 60...especially if you’re a specialist. And this is totally because of the economy and interest rates created by the Biden machine.

The economy is a train wreck.
They are not delusional. They know full well the economy is hurting the lower and middle income brackets. They don’t care. And they believe, not without cause, that they can convince the average voter to agree with their narrative.
When the message is repeated and reinforced from a wide variety of sources, uncritical people will assume there must be something there — where there’s smoke there’s fire — and that their own perceptions somehow are not all that accurate.

Either way, it doesn’t say much for the clowns who thought up that BS!
They blame it on Covid and the Ukraine war. They facilitated both.
My grocery, utility and gas bills say otherwise.
Ask those trying to buy a home how 8% interest feels.
And remember there is a record number of people with 2 FULL FULL-TIME JOBS, not extra part time jobs, FULL-TIME JOBS.
