Ancient Christian monastery, possibly pre-dating Islam, found in UAE sand dunes

The monastery sits on Siniyah Island, which shields the Khor al-Beida marshlands in Umm al-Quwain, an emirate some 50 kilometers (30 miles) northeast of Dubai along the coast of the Persian Gulf. The island, whose name means “flashing lights” likely due to the effect of the white-hot sun overhead, has a series of sandbars coming off of it like crooked fingers. On one, to the island’s northeast, archaeologists discovered the monastery.

Carbon dating of samples found in the monastery’s foundation date between 534 and 656. Islam’s Prophet Muhammad was born around 570 and died in 632 after conquering Mecca in present-day Saudi Arabia.

Viewed from above, the floor plan of the monastery on Siniyah Island suggests early Christian worshipers prayed within a single-aisle church at the monastery. Rooms within appear to hold a baptismal font, as well as an oven for baking bread or wafers for communion rites. A nave also likely held an altar and an installation for communion wine.

Not surprising at all, it reminds me of the Latter-day Saints.

Muhammad was raised in the Christian home and had a revelation that Christian faith was incorrect. His revelation gave birth to the Quran to back up Islam doctrine.

Joseph Smith when through a similar stage in life that produce the Book of Mormon to back up Latter Day Saints doctrine.

Both founders started out in Christian Faith then deviated to start new religions.

They were undoubtedly heretics who considered Mary to be the “bearer of Christ” rather than the “bearer of God”.

It’s a fun place to visit.
That’s where I got my “Caliph Baraq is my homeboy” t-shirt.

Thee is a mounting body of historical evidence that Mohammad and his story are either a fiction or happened at some other later date.

Christianity existed in the middle east well before Mohammad. Mohammad was raised in a Christian family. There are still old Christian communities that existed before Mohammad in Iran and other parts of the middle east.

I believe he existed; Mohammad is just a false prophet that created a false religion to control people.
