I am so deeply saddened by this news. Our thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
So blessed to have lived in the years of Rush! Maybe Florida could designate today Rush Limbaugh day and every year a commemoration in his honor. Or a conservatory named after Rush Limbaugh with a life sized statue in front of the conservatory....

I remember my father rushing home from a 4 hour drift boat fishing trip to see his TV Show. We even caught 4 King fish.
He turned it on and Rush was wearing all these goofy ribbons of these liberal causes, and making fun of how sanctimonious liberals get wearing them. They since replace with bracelets and other nonsense.
My first memory of Rush.
I talked to him on the air a time or two.
You might remember when Marion Barry was caught with cocaine in a DC hotel. Rush came on and specifically asked for callers from around DC to call in. I was in a DC suburb, so I decided to call.
1-800-282-2882 was busy, busy, busy. I couldn’t get through. I’ll admit it now — I kind of cheated.
I knew the call-in number for Rush’s then-flagship, so I tried it. It worked!
Snerdley answered. (I forget which Snerdley was on duty that day.) “Rush Limbaugh Show.”
I told him I lived in the DC area and had seen the video of Mayor Barry. He put mem on the air. Rush determined that I was calling from the DC area and that I had seen the video. I told him I had seen it on the 11:00 news.
“What were you thinking?” Rush asked.
“Well, to be honest, I was thinking ‘Just take the drugs already, Marion. I’ve got to get to bed.’” Rush thought that was hilarious. He kept quoting it for a couple of days.
Very sad day. Megadittoes, Rush, and thank you. We’ll carry on from here.
I haven’t seen the left this gleeful since President Reagan died.

I think this was one last service to America. Rush’s death, coming so closely after the failed second Trump impeachment, is really exposing the left for who they are.

I’m sure everyone knew when they heard her open the show
My sniffles woke my wife next to me...she warned me that i knew this was inevitable ...
We have precious little leadership now anywhere.....

In a statement Premiere notes, “Rush’s voice will continue to be heard, providing comfort and continued insight to his legions of loyal fans. All of Rush’s audio has been extensively archived and cataloged by subject, topic and opinion. His producers will be able to pull segments that are relevant for each day’s news cycle and allow us to feature the best of Rush for the full three hours of the program.”
Guest hosts will be used to “guide Rush’s audio from one topic to another, but Rush will be the predominant voice heard for the three-hour Monday-Friday show, the AM Daily Update and The Week in Review three-hour show.” The show will continue “with this transitional programming until his audience is prepared to say good-bye” with additional information posted at RushLimbaugh.com when necessary.
We have heard from affiliates who have been told it will be a minimum of 90 days before permanent plans for the 12-3pm eastern slot are solidified.

My condolences to you. My wife died from cancer about three months ago. It’s been rough. Married 46 years.
