I am so deeply saddened by this news. Our thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
I was first introduced to Rush by some of the guys I worked with about a week after he arrived on KGBS in the Dallas Ft Worth market.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I had thought such things but never heard someone articulate it. There was some short discussion if he was for real or if it was some group of people working together and one guy talking.
I really enjoyed all of the parodies he did back in the day.
One of the more memorable events was the day he came out and mockingly endorsed Clinton and then just sat back and answered calls from the people who had ignored the “you have to listen to the program for 6 months before you really understand it.” LOL
We went to one of the “Rush to Excellence Tour” events and it was like the greatest radio show ever, except I was there to see it.

So, Fox was saying Rush’s last broadcast was December 23, but I’ve heard him on the air several times this year. Is that not correct?
I don’t know.
Maybe someone can tell us.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your wife. I lost a partner 6 years ago this month. To lose Rush at the same time would be difficult because he gave so much consistency and optimism to my tough days. I am so sorry.

He was on this month, I believe Feb 2? Definitely was on quite a bit in January. His ability to do that while undergoing treatment blew me away.
What a wonderful idea for a memorial. His legacy could keep on giving. What an impact he had! - G.O.A.T.

When did he actually pass this morning?
A couple of comments here at FR about posters being awakened last night by a feeling of dread...my wife informed me earlier that I had cried out ‘Oh, no’ or something like it in my sleep last night. Perhaps God is using the passing of Rush as a sign to us that he is shutting the casket lid on America...who knows? Certainly not me.
He fought the good fight, touched countless millions, and helped to make America, and the world, a better place.
His wisdom - and humor - will be missed. May God rest his soul and comfort his family at this difficult time.
I’m so sorry you lost your wife. My husband is critically ill right now and the painful news today about Rush just adds to a very painful start to 2021.

Oh dear....Levin on Fox just chocked up, hardly could get words out......saying he was such a good friend....tearful.
My condolences to you. My wife died on January 1 this year, just after midnight. I feel, I think, something akin to the way Churchill felt after France fell to the Nazis. It's just one thing after the other.

He was the one that told me about Rush too.
Got out of work today and little before 1 and Rush was on the radio. I was ecstatic!!!
Few minutes later the news came on and said he had passed.
Blurry ride home.
I bet in Heaven he’ll be hanging out with the Founding Fathers, Reagan, Churchill, et al.
Trump gave him the Medal of Freedom at the last SOTU.
