Donald Trump Leading Joe Biden In Montgomery County Bakery’s Cookie Presidential Poll

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) –A Montgomery County bakery is offering a sweet spin on the traditional presidential poll. Voting never tasted so good.

“We started our election cookie poll,” said Lochel’s Bakery owner, Kathleen Lochel.

Lochel’s Bakery in Hatboro is allowing customers to show their political preference by buying Trump or Biden butter cookies.

“The decorated cookies are always $4.49,” said Lochel. “They’re iced, an edible image with the candidate’s name with 2020 put on the cookie, and it’s put into the red or blue jimmies.”

For each cookie sold, the staff marks it on a board. So far, Trump is leading by about two-to-one.

“I went for the obvious one — Trump 2020,” said Mike Reyes of Hatboro.

“I’ve purchased both kinds of cookies, the red ones and the blue ones. All cookies in there are delicious,” Diane Hegele said.

“I’ve seen less Biden cookies so I thought more people were buying Biden,” one person said.

This is the third presidential race the bakery has conducted its cookie poll. And the results always turned out to be right on the money.

Still, the bakery tries to be fair.

“We only sell both at the same time. We will not sell just one out there. We don’t think it’s fair to either candidate if there’s just one out there. Plus, we don’t want people to think we’re endorsing one candidate,” Lochel said.

Right now, Trump is leading over Biden but the cookie poll will be on-going through Election Day.

In fairness, the democrats are mostly hiding in their basements and can’t participate in a cookie poll.

That’s because they are selling them. If they were giving them away, Biden would be in the lead.

The only biden cookies being bought are by people working at demonRAT offices, paid for by campaign funds and then they are thrown in the garbage.

When the cookie store makes the biden cookie, it says, "biden for senator".

That reminds me. Gotta kick our neighborhood Girl Scout to the curb this year. She’s a sweetheart but her mom is a rabid lib.

The Halloween mask poll used to be very accurate. This year with the scamdemic, it could be skewed.

This concept reminds me of The Puppy Super Bowl.
Cute, harmless fun.
I won’t deny it’s even more fun with these results, Trump outselling Biden. That’s the way the cookies crumble.

If Trump takes Montgomery County he takes Pennsylvania.

That reminds me. About 12 years ago a girl scout with her mom was selling cookies outside a market and got me to buy a box of those horrible cookies. I gave her a $20 bill and there was a $5 in the change. Little did I know until later it was half a $5 bill. I went back and got a new one from them. Dishonest creeps.

Geez! So they tore a $5 Bill in half to double their money?! Unreal. You were probably one of the few that went back.

... “The decorated cookies are always $4.49,”

A decorated iced butter cookie for $5 (after tax)?

Well, they better be good.

Whoakaaaaaay....

Well, guess we all know what that means, eh?

We sell both cookies so we don’t appear to endorse anyone.

How refreshing. I wish all companies took that to heart.

This bakery is just up the road from me. Excellent cakes. Surprised that Trump is leading two to one. All I see around here are Biden signs. The silent supporters are real.

"If Trump takes Montgomery County he takes Pennsylvania."

I pray he does. There are a lot of Biden signs, but we have a lot of brain-dead people who believe all the crap spewed by the media and repeat it. I will say that there are more American flags than usual and that many of the BLM signs seem to have vanished recently. I hope that's indicative. The county (and election services) is run by D's, and the level of incompetence is only exceeded by their level of corruption. We R's in Montco will do what we can to mitigate the damage and pray that the rest of PA carries the day.

I will go buy cookies in Hatboro - supporting my local businesses is always good.
