That reminds me of a discussion about affirmative action in constitutional law class back in law school. I went to a small, not top-14 law school. One of the black students remarked that there were so few black students at the school. The professor pointed out that they would love to have more and that law schools fight over black applicants, but there aren’t many black applicants left after the top tier schools snap them up. I’m not sure if the student who asked the question got the implication that he was part of the dregs.

Yes, I always shake my head over this attitude. They want everything that "whites" have; but, they do not want to do the things that "whites" do to get the things that they have. Study at school, behave themselves, go on to college/trade schooling/or immediately to work. Work hard, show up on time, be polite to the boss and try to be a good co-worker, get married, stay married, have children after you are married and with the woman you are married to. Raise your children together.
None of these things are not available to minorities. You just have to want to do these things. If you do, your life will be better.
It was not just this level of tech. Late husband was LEAD ELECTRONIC 2 Way Radio TROUBLE SHOOTER 30 yrs total, before massive heart attack death; a now mostly defunct industry outside of Police, Fire, EMT..Blacks just didn’t go into the industry, even when it paid above average. Got his start sending up MACE Missiles for our Vietnam FLY boys to practice shooting down, USAF SGT in 4 yrs.

Algebra was my favorite class. I took it four times. I never understood the logic but un reality, I never did use algebra for the rest of my life.
My son had trouble with it too. His first math class in college was an algebra class that he almost flunked. He didn’t get the basic stuff but has no problem with the higher level stuff. He’s an aerospace engineer so the apple fell very far from the tree.

Liberals view people that have STEM degrees but don’t follow their religion as problems. They get in the way.
The liberal solution is to dumb things down so that nobody could become a STEM graduate without having passed *their* tests. If you believe in Communism, you could be a damn fine scientist in their brave new world.
With indoctrinated STEMs calling the shots, the government can make these people the new priests in their new world order. The masses wouldn’t know any different, and those that would challenge their nonsense would more than likely be reeducated or shot.
