Where and when did I say federal property in MN was involved?
I am referring to 2 FEDERAL OFFICERS shot in Oakland, one killed, during riots last night.
If the POTUS is not discussing the ROE for defending federal property in light of these events, he is totally derelict in his duties.
I suspect he is not. And I suspect the DHS ROE are going to be a lot harsher than the governor of MN’s.
FPS officers protect federal facilities like courthouses, office buildings, the VA hospital, etc.
They do not have jurisdiction beyond those properties to my knowledge.
They are the federal version of railroad police who patrol rail lines and respond to railroad property.
Two feds shot.
A Post Office overrun.
Both legal thresholds for Federal intervention.
The insurrection act.
“Trump can’t clearly or simply order the MN National Guard to use deadly force to protect private or even state/city property in Minneapolis from being looted and burned”
The Insurrection Act makes it legally easy.
It’s still a political nightmare.

As a public service, I wrote Biden’s opening lines for him:
C’mon, man. Cut the malarkey. Don’t be a lying dog-faced pony soldier. Come over here and let me smell your hair.
Downtown Oakland is trashed. Broken windows and graffiti over 20 blocks. Most common graffiti - “kill all cops”. The local news showed less than 10 % of the damage. The Target, CVS and several auto dealership completely trashed - no windows and small fired were started inside. This is anarchy not a protest.
That’s pretty good. He needs you on his speech team. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), he goes off script and when he does that we need a translator to explain roaches and leg hairs how he can run for Senate and president at the same time. But one thing he’s promised us is that “He’s gonna beat Joe Biden”.
Lop off its head? Soros has all his billions & billions of dollars working to keep himself free of decapitation...
We agree.
But there is nothing to prevent him from telling the DHS to protect federal buildings (like in Oakland) with deadly force.
