The veteran ABC news anchor on Friday endorsed the billionaire media mogul’s run for president, telling CNN’s Anderson Cooper he believed Bloomberg was the “best-suited” Democratic candidate to take on Donald Trump in November. But times had changed and he now felt compelled to act because “we are in the grip” of a “sick, ignorant man,” Donaldson explained.
“He’s mean, he’s corrupt and if we don’t get this right, we may lose the things that have made this country the best place to live in the world and that shining city on the hill that Ronald Reagan used to talk about which was the envy of the world,” he added.
Donaldson later dismissed concerns that Bloomberg was attempting to buy the presidency, saying he wouldn’t be “beholden to anyone” because he’s putting his own money in, and played down the anger over the stop-and-frisk policing strategy that was used during Bloomberg’s time as New York mayor.

Wow. Sam Donaldson referencing Reagan in a positive way. Back when Reagan was President, Donaldson said the same type of things about him as he is now saying about Trump.

And those aren't just any stump trained sheep - they're stump trained Angora goats - and Sam Dullison was boinking them for ten years before one of his hired hands told him they weren't sheep at all. Now them Mescalero Apaches take a dim view of goat boinkers - sheep fine, goats not. Seems they sent a war party over from the Reserve to sort out old Dullison, as in scalp him, for misdemeanor bestiality under tribal law. So, by the time the war party got there old Dullison had ripped off the rug - totally scalp resistant, so to speak. Scared those Native Americans so bad they all got arrested for speeding on their way back to the Reserve. True story.

I remember reading in recent years, people lamenting the sorry state of the media today, and holding Sam Donaldson up as some model of how civil things used to be. He was tough but fair we were told. Bulls**t! Donaldson was and still is the worst of the worst. There’s no greater malcontent and dissembler than this lying propagandist. He slanders our president for being corrupt but he conveniently fails to cite any examples, because he can’t find them. There’s a special place in hell reserved for scum like Donaldson.
I remember the same thing. Donaldson was insufferable. But the revisionists like to pretend he was fair and civil, and that he and Reagan had some kind of begrudging respect for one another. They must think the public has no memory.

That is a good theory. Who is to say that he wins the election and then resigns after saying the oath, quoting ‘health’ and ‘family’ considerations. Hillary would win by default!
