Well the some debate about this
By modern precedence a 50/50 vote should be a fail in Impeachment.
However there no clear cut rule so the Dems are going to push Roberts to be the tie breaker.
Basically it going to be what ever Roberts feels like doing.
What a sorry excuse for a sham process when it all comes down to the ego of the Chief Justice

Like Rush said, Democrats don’t want witnesses. Imagine how Trump’s lawyers would tear up the Bidens, Schiff, Ciaramalla the whistleblower.

Gadzooks-- AND I voted for this scumbag to be President!
Well, I keep telling myself he'd have still been better than Obama, but not by much--

Someone explained to me that even a 50/50 tie dooms the measure to call for witnesses. Not sure how or why.
Probably Senate Rules.
Anyway - if idiots like Schumer and Romney want witnesses - then screw them.

I fully expect him to vote for removal. He’s only proving that what I’ve always thought of him is correct.

There’s no need for more witnesses, it’s quite clear what the verdict should be. Even viewing in a non-partisan way should drive that same conclusion.
This idiotic, even for Romney. America doesn’t deserve this clown in the Senate.

If presidential candidates are allowed to vote on this then Pence should also be allowed to vote.

Millions? In a state with only about 600,000 voters, total?

Mitch needs to remove Mittens from any committees- allow him to caucus with Republicans only.

For what it’s worth, ABC reports Murkowski is a No on witnesses. Watch Rand Paul screw it up now. (50-50 on something that should be unanimous is a shame.)

According to multiple “in the know” folks, a 50-50 vote ends the discussion. It is the same as a 100-0 vote - no NEW witnesses!
