“McConnell’s not going to do what you guys want him to do,” Tapper told Schiff.
Schiff replied, “Well, McConnell, I think is, one success that this has already had is flushing out McConnell. Showing that he’s working in cahoots with the president, and he has made himself an active participant in the president’s cover-up. So, the American people needed to see that, and now they do.”
Tapper interjected, “So, you’re never gonna get what you want, though. Isn’t that what you’re saying?”
Schiff said that “wasn’t necessarily the case” and claimed that some Republican senators might reconsider their position and vote with Democrats after feeling pressure from Pelosi’s demands for more witnesses.
“Both Democrats and Republicans are now having to go onto the record and say, ‘Do we want witnesses? Do we want to see the documents? Do we want the American people to hear the evidence? Do we want a real trial? Or do we want a cover-up?’” Schiff explained.

There will be no do over in the Senate. If Schiff couldn’t be bothered to wait to secure the witnesses and documents, its not the GOP’s obligation to make it good for him.
Democrats are stuck with their turd impeachment. Whether or not they bring it over to the Senate doesn’t matter.
Senate GOP is already inclined to dismiss the charges without trial. Then where is the Democrats’ leverage?

Do we need any more evidence that the impeachment sham is a purely political and partisan maneuver, which has nothing to do with wrongdoing by the president? The only wrongdoing is by Democrats once again abusing their office.

This “interview” should be saved and used as a textbook example of “gaslighting”. We all have met people in life that have done this to us before, but in the past, citizens would not accept this conduct from their elected representatives, whom were quickly thrown from office for acting this way.
But typically, whomever wins POTUS makes gains in Congress. So they’d only take the Senate if Trump loses anyway.

IF there are going to be any witnesses, Barney Google Schaffer is Witness #1, along with all the secret testimony from the bunker.
IMO, all this stunt is is Pelosi trying to dirty up the Senate Republicans ahead of the election to increase Dem chances if retaking the majority.
