Americans back impeaching President Donald Trump, a new poll shows, by a wider margin now than before the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry hearings began.
According to the Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tuesday, 47% of Americans support impeaching Trump, compared to just 40% who oppose impeachment.
That seven-point margin in favor of impeachment marks an increase over the course of November.
On November 13th, just before the House launched its impeachment inquiry hearings, impeachment supporters led opponents by just three points. After the first week of hearings, that margin increased from three to four points, rising to five points when the second week of hearings began.
The poll was conducted online, and collected responses from 1,118 adults, including 528 Democrats, 394 Republicans, and 111 independents.
Not all polls showed an increase in support for impeachment, however.
A new Quinnipiac poll conducted from November 21st to the 25th showed support for impeaching Trump falling sharply, from 48% to 45%, while opposition to impeachment rose from 46% to 48%. Net support for impeachment fell from two points in late October to minus three points this week.
A CNN poll released this week found net support for impeachment falling by two points during November, from plus seven, with 51% supporting and 44% opposing impeachment, to plus five, with 50% supporting impeachment and 45% opposing.
The RealClearPolitics average of polls showed net support for impeachment increasing over the weekend, before declining slightly this week, fall from a net support of 3.2 points to 2.5 points from Sunday to Wednesday.

It is anticipated the left will drum up a few bogus polls to use as cover for an impeachment vote. Doesn’t matter if those of us who are following this nonsense even mildly think it’s a sham. A vast majority of the public isn’t following this, and a good number of them will just buy into whatever the MSM “reports”.
If “impeachment” here means having a Senate trial, Trump favors that now.

Correct, the only pole that counts is the one on Election night. Those who actually VOTE, are alive, don’t have dementia or Alzheimer’s, and are not behind bars.
The polls haven’t moved very much. There was a sharp increase in support right after the Ukraine scandal story broke, and that increase has decayed a little bit over time.

What a coincidence, 528/1118 is 47%. Another interesting fact, in the national popular vote, Clinton beat Trump by 2,568,686 votes. In California, Clinton beat Trump by 4,269,978 votes. If California is taken out of the equation, Trump would win the popular vote.
This isn’t rocket science. Any true Freepers, at least those whom have at least a third grade education like Jethro, knows any poll commissioned by any fake news org is a fake poll.

True. And when the schiff hits the fan it will be for the state by state Electoral College in the real election.
The yuge California,OR,WA,NY and DC margins about impeachment that distort the overall impeachment polls will not matter. Nor are they even accurate polls now.
And the leftist news media office parties will show straw poll margins of 99% impeach and remove to 1% undecided. And on election night the TV studio maintenance crews will have to put out the yellow "Danger of Slipping on Wet Floor Surface" signs. Rivers of tears.
How much of that percentage consists of Trump supporters who want the process to advance to the Senate so that the corruption of the Democrats can be fully exposed?
By the way, I think the Dems feel they have to go forward with it after the latest health scare for RBG. They’ll be willing to take their chances at the ballot box, but can’t bear the thought of another SCOTUS pick falling to Trump.
CNN must think today is April Fool’s Day.
