On Thursday afternoon, within a couple of hours of covering the school shooting in Santa Clarita, California, MSNBC journalists were predictably suggesting Republicans were to blame for the deaths as analysts and several Democratic guests pined for more gun control.
At one point, host Katy Tur invited MSNBC law enforcement analyst Jim Cavanaugh to blame Republican Senators for gun deaths because of their refusal to support more restrictions: "Would you go so far as to hold them responsible for the deaths that are continuing -- the lives that are continuing to be lost with gun violence?"
Cavanaugh, who had already been ranting against Republicans for several minutes, declared, "Look, I clearly do," and then resumed his rant.
At about 1:28 p.m. Eastern, after MSNBC law enforcement analyst Clint Van Zandt finished giving analysis of how to spot possible school shooters, Tur turned to Cavanaugh and posed: "So Clint is talking about the remedies that might be available for individuals at risk. Jim, what are the remedies for the country's government? What needs to happen?"
Picking up on a derogatory slur sometimes hurled at conservative baby boomers by liberal millennials, Cavanaugh went after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and suggested Republicans are not concerned about the lives of children:

Not once do any of these morons point out that the 2nd Amendment would have to referenced for any ‘gun-control legislation’. And, if the SCOTUS EVER USED THE CONSTITUTION AS EVEN A GUIDE, none of the legislation would stand.
I have a few Leftist friends on Facebook and the first thing they did was demand gun control. I do not get political on Facebook but would have loved to ask them how they intended to take the guns away from criminals and the mentally ill. How do you do that? They certainly wouldn’t give up the guns easily and all the gun grabbing would do is to take the guns from innocent Americans who want to protect their families, hunt animals, etc. But I’m sure the question wouldn’t elicit a reply from the hard core Leftists among us.

No Katy that would be you and the rest of the Neo Facists with your infantile idiot paranoia about guns. Putting up “Gun Free zones” merely tells the crazies where they will face no opposition.
There are truly no depths to which they will not sink.
The person I would hold responsible is Joe Biden. It was his failed gun free school zone legislation that disarmed schools and prevents schools from fighting back.
Katy it’s the mentally ill and democrats (sorry for redundancy) that commit 95% of the school shootings and mass murder with firearms.

Maybe some better questions would be:
How about we require all parents to bring up kids who have a conscience?
How about we require that all parents instill the idea that all life has value?
How about if we require all parents to convince their kids ‘if someone dumps you, that person doesn’t deserve to be injured or killed. And it doesn’t mean that you have less value’.
How about we require parents to convince their kids that other kids who disagree with you politically aren’t evil or bad. They (we) just have a different point of view.
How about we require parents to convince their kids that someone who disagrees with you politically doesn’t deserve to be terrorized, injured or killed simply because they (we) have different politics?
The good Social Mores of this country have been destroyed. The ‘whatever you want do or think is ok’ mentality is prevailing. We lived in California for 20 years and I can state that life is cheap there. AND there were boatloads of guns around when we were kids BUT there were NO SCHOOL SHOOTINGS! The Left only promotes gun grabbing to leverage more control over the citizenry. School shootings are the way they believe they can accomplish this. So, rather than spending their time and words only comforting those affected, we get the usual ‘this is tragic’ line and then immediately several paragraphs about gun grabbing. I weep for our country.
Of course, it was Trump’s fault even though he was a few thousand miles away and didn’t have his finger on the trigger.
If gun control worked, there would not have been a shooting in CA which has the strictest gun control in the country.
