Here’s what would happen if the manufacture of today’s standard-size rounds were outlawed, and .21, .37, or .43-caliber rounds took their place: Eventually, gun owners would run out of the old ammo, and their weapons would become paperweights.

I wonder if the .21, .37, or .43-caliber rounds would actually work in .22, .38 or .44-caliber firearms?

Ammunition really is the Achilles heel of the 2nd Amendment.
Look for other ways of making it harder to get now that they have realized it.

It says “arms” not guns dummy! Ammo is covered under “arms” dummy.

Do all of these morons think they are clever?

We'd just leave the bullet diameters at .223, .224, .357, and .429 inches. Nobody would know. Heh, heh.

As a refugee from Ct, I have first hand knowledge that Ct is the stupid state, filled with stupid, liberal people. Post Sandy Hook draconian gun control measures was what drove me out of the state.

I don’t know about you, but I have 10k rounds in storage.

I was talking to my very knowledgeable buddy about how many rounds I should have. He said if 1k doesn’t do it, you’ve been over run.

Headline of the article: “It’s not the guns, it’s the ammunition”

No. It’s not the ammunition. It’s not the gun. It’s not the laws. It’s not the “loopholes”.

It’s the person with the gun in hand, and the intent of that person. We can never be 100% on anything, but we can add to the background checks if the person purchasing the gun at the gun store is a Democrat, suspected of being a Democrat he doesn’t get the gun. That will solve the vast majority of the problems the Democrats have with our right to bear arms.

Yeah. And going smaller makes no sense. Go larger. Imagine my frustration trying to get a.277” bullet to fire in my .270 Win.

Outlawing ammo would be seen by the Supreme Court like efforts to keep blacks from voting in the South by instituting poll taxes and illiteracy tests.

At least a constitutionally minded Supreme Court.

Correction: it’s not the guns, it’s the drug and alcohol abuse or illiteracy or generational welfare dependency or fatherless homes, etc.
