Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Friday said that if the House of Representatives were to impeach President Trump, the Senate “has no choice” and would have to go to trial right away.
McConnell told NPR on Friday that “if the House were to act, the Senate immediately goes into a trial.”

Sebastian Gorka on his radio show was calling for the House GOP to try to get this through if it is going to go through - force the Democrats to get on record - as quickly as possible and the Senate can subpoena witnesses the Dems don’t want people to hear from.
He said this months ago. Media storing up trouble. But like you this all pisses me off. Losing the house was a disaster. I know some don’t think that but it is.

I believe that the legislators from districts that Trump won are going to be getting an ass whooping from their constituents over their break!!! I think MANY of them will come back and vote NO!!! I believe they will lose their seats regardless of their NO vote, their constituents will want to make sure that this BS does NOT have any chance of happening again!!!

Nope. If he is impeached by the house he can. The senate he’s ineligible for life.
If this hits the Senate, I have grave concerns.
I’ve been wrong before, I just don’t want to see this come down to a vote to two either direction.
First of all, Impeachment counts would have to be a complete farce.
If he beats impeachment in the Senate by a vote or two, the MSM and other Leftists will call it a vote of no confidence and the soft headed mush brain folks in the nation, could buy in.

I think you’re blaming the wrong people. Paul Ryan is largely to blame. And the Republicans allowed him to quit his post and yet remain in the job as speaker. He did absolutely nothing to support Trump.

Yes, I do recall a senate trial for Bill Clinton, presided over by the chief justice, William Rehnquist. I remember also that a majority of the senate voted to convict but not enough to remove Clinton from office. Despite Clinton’s felonies, treason, and bad behavior, not one democrat voted to impeach or convict. To my thinking, the democrats have lost all credibility on the subject of impeachment. The thing we have to remember is that all that stands in the way of the nightmare end of days spoken of by the prophets is the United States led by Donald Trump. If Trump is removed from office by these demon-possessed swamp dwellers, it means that nothing is left to stop these terrible things from happening, and that means our Lord’s soon return to earth and the restoration of all things. That being said, we must do all that we can to help the president.
