I recently watched a German-made political movie, The Lives of Others, which was released back in 2006. Every American should take the opportunity to watch this movie, for it portrayed the destructive consequences for the people and a society living under what was formally an all-powerful East German police state.
The East German state police agency, the Stasi, was granted virtually unlimited power to monitor and spy on the lives of their citizens with the objective of maintaining absolute control over all aspects of the personal and professional lives of its people. The Stasi was renowned for being highly proficient and effective in its ability to subjugate East Germany's citizens.
This movie is a warning to Americans about the dire consequences of increasing the powers of the state. Too many Americans take for granted the continued blessings of our great American system, instituted by the Founding Fathers, based on the premise that man can rule himself.

It hasn’t already? Certainly felt that way the last concert I attended, the last notice I rep’d from the IRS and the last airport terminal I entered.
Now people voluntarily inform on themselves to the new Stasi: Facebook, Twitter, etc.
If and when the Dems would take over the Senate and the presidency.

Boy, I don’t know. Seems to me the more immediate problem is the lack of exercising authority. The cops stand by while the mobs go wild.
It already has, and I don’t think less of those who don’t see the storm clouds. The propaganda is thick and hard to avoid.
These vile, evil places will not be around long enough for that to happen.

When democrats get into power, they take away rights. Remember how quickly they passed a law to arrest nursing home personnel for not using the “right” pronouns? That will be expanded in the years to come.
You already can be arrested for writing on a piece of paper “It’s OK to be White.”
They already have.. Do you every see a police officer out when driving.. I remember when you could go for days before sou would see one. Now they are everywhere.. Crime levels are worst now than when I was a kid... Course the courts and lawyers don’t help much..

We already live in a police state. POTUS and his supporters are assaulted on a daily basis by the organs of government. The “Trump” DOJ sent more agents to get Roger Stone than the Navy sent SEALs to get Bin Laden. This happened in Florida and Roger Stone is a constituent of Marco Rubio. And did our duly elected United States Senator Little Marco Rubio say a word about these outrageous police state tactics in his state? Nope.
