White House officials have tried to pressure U.S. immigration authorities to release detainees onto the streets of "sanctuary cities" to retaliate against President Donald Trump's political adversaries, according to Department of Homeland Security officials and email messages reviewed by The Washington Post.
Trump administration officials have proposed transporting detained immigrants to sanctuary cities at least twice in the past six months - once in November, as a migrant caravan approached the U.S. southern border, and again in February, amid a standoff with Democrats over funding for Trump's border wall.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's district in San Francisco was among those the White House wanted to target, according to DHS officials. The administration also considered releasing detainees in other Democratic strongholds.

Obama did it to towns that were conservative by nature. I don’t see a problem with this. Plus, it doesn’t change the electoral vote one bit. If California wants to take in 3 million illegals, let them. Just stay out of Texas.
How is this targeting political foes??? They are a sanctuary city, therefore they should be willing to take them in. You cannot have it both ways.

The census counts everyone regardless of legal status. Congressional seats are allocated on the basis of the census. It is estimated that CA would have 3 to 5 less seats if illegal aliens were not counted.
TX has an estimated 1.6 million illegal aliens. CA has 2.2 million.

Yep. 2 or 3 a day for a couple of weeks. That would be hilarious. Pelosi would have an absolute meltdown. Then President Trump could start dumping them in front of the homes of a few prominent and vocal Senators.
