New Yorkers fleeing to Florida need to leave their terrible blue state policies behind as well
Fox News ^ | 17 February 2019 | Ed Pozzuoli

Back in the day, my native New York State feasted on the iconic I♡NY ad campaign, enticing Americans to drop in and spend their dollars in the Big Apple.

But now, we’re being treated to the spectacle of the state’s governor selling… not New York, but Florida!

In a recent press conference, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo blamed a $2.3 billion budget deficit in New York on the compounding effect of federal tax reform on the state’s sky-high taxes. And according to the Wall Street Journal, “(Cuomo) specifically mentioned Florida as an attractive option for New Yorkers who are unhappy with the change in the tax law.”

The Journal article also points out, “Preliminary data show a jump in Florida home purchases by buyers from high-tax states.”

[Snip]

For us freedom-loving Floridians, however, there's a rub. It seems all too many blue-state refugees, having found haven from tax-spend-regulate oppressors, turn around and import the very same blue-state politics that caused them to flee in the first place.

Port Saint Lucie use to be a nice quiet Florida town.
N.Y. Mets moved their spring training headquarters there which has attracted 200,000 New Yorkers to relocate there.
To be charitable it has drastically changed the place and in few instances for the better

Do NOT welcome these people into your neighborhood. DO NOT.

They have infected Pennsylvania and they bring it all with them. All the while claiming they do not.

F*** em. If you see one, make them very, very uncomfortable. Maybe they’ll leave. It happens.

Actually the whole country is about gone.

Yep. There isn't a single state that is becoming more conservative. Many swing states are now solidly blue (Colorado) and many red states are at risk of becoming swing states (Texas).

I don't think we'll ever again see a Republican win the popular vote for President.

We have little crime other than a bicycle stolen or ocassional car break in. The 3 min rule is their guaranteed response time if you need them. I would not feel safe waiting 45 minutes for help calling 911. You must be in an isolated place. We don’t have guns where i live.

Absolutely they should. How often do any of us see a “Conservative” School Superintendent, Election Supervisor, Polling Place supervisor, School Board supervisor, Principal, etc. The Left has basically been able to corner the market on those jobs and in so doing, can push whatever agenda they want. And if a ‘Right Leaning’ person is in one of those positions, they’re removed and replaced by a Leftists.

The Left will figure out a way to sue something or someone until they get their way. Biggest thing that the Right could do, to stop the insanity, would be to track the money. Sure, we all speculate Soros and the rest, but has anyone actually found out? Think about all the ANTIFA protests from a few years ago. The word was that the protesters were being paid and that they were bused in. If I was a mayor, police chief, or Sheriff and they came to tear up my county/city/town, I’d want to know everything. I’d want to know who paid for the buses, the hotel rooms, everything. Yet, no one seems to want to know.

Election fraud in Florida and elsewhere. Look at who becomes the leadership in those jobs. You can’t touch them for fear of every ‘ism’ they can throw at you, so the operate with impunity, like obama did.

As for Abrams, the Left doesn’t care about that stuff, nor do the inner city voters, that only vote for her because she’s black, promised the moon and were told to vote for her. And to think, the other Stacy that she ran against in the primary was just as bad, if not worse, than she was.

My state senator is still picked by the district they represent. Albeit their districts are larger than the state level House rep.

Yup. NONE of these blue state refugees make the connection between the reasons they left and the politics they support. They just think the RIGHT people have not yet been put in charge of implementing them.

Yes. Same here. But the size of the district vis a vis the number of people in it is set to give the state majority the edge. That majority of course is in the cities with many districts in crowded areas.

Yup! Bucks County is full of Yankee Giants hats. Montgomery County is overrun with Philly and Jersey refugees. They left these places because of high taxes, crime, schools. Yet cannot make the connection as to why they still vote for democrats! It’s horrible!

So now Pennsylvanians can’t move within their own state?

There is a solution for this and it’s called a transfer tax.

Any person establishing a new residence in low or no tax state X shall pay an income tax at a rate not less than the rate of taxation assessed during the last year of residency in the state from which said person has
relocated from for a period of ten years.

If they want to bring their lovely politics with them, then let them pay for it and be reminded of why they fled from it. I am sick of these brain dead a-holes going all “plague of locusts.”

Talking about taxes as those of you bad mouth people from other states remember this. NJ, ny and CT are 3 out of 4 of top tax payer states Meaning our taxes support those of you in poorer tax taker states
You have no qualms about taking our money.

How much in taxes do those states write off on the backs of the rest of the country?

When they move they bring their socialist ways with them thinking this new state will implement it better. They just didn’t have the correct people in charge in their old state. They will get it right this time!

Omg do you realize these transplanted northerners could end up marrying your daughters? You could have half breed grandkids with horns and tails.
