I honestly don't believe Senior Democrats fully realize the damage this woman and her ilk are doing to their brand.

But I think they'll see it soon in polls.

For what?!

This stupid “economics scholar” (like a certain constitutional scholar we all know and love) doesn’t understand that tax credits aren’t real money and that amazon would’ve increased funding to the city and state both by direct taxes, infrastructure improvements and, of course, all those new high paying jobs that would’ve increased housing values and this property taxes.

She’s taking a victory lap for destroying jobs in America. She’s taking a victory lap for destroying commerce in America and next she’s going to run around and complain that there’s not enough tax money for her to implement her magickal green plan.

She does have a point about the corporate welfare (3 giga-bucks in tax breaks).

“”The deal would have meant an estimated 25,000 new jobs for the city.””

Why on earth would she shed a tear of losing that many jobs when her plan is to pay people who don’t work anyway? What a pig! We already know from seeing her “man on the street” constituents, they don’t know which side is up anyway! Already on the dole so what’s the big deal!

While I get the value a company coming to my city can offer, I seriously disagreed with giving a multi-billion dollar company billions in corporate welfare to pick this city.

If the city wants to give away money to help businesses grow here, it could provide tax and regulatory relief to the many mom-and-pop businesses that try to make a go of it. While that would still be corporate welfare, at least it would be to more needy businesses.

Better still, try to make this a great place to start a business for anyone and everyone without government giveaways and watch the jobs come pouring in.

Jobs and tax revenue gone; wonder what Cuomo thinks since he blames Florida for the loss of tax revenue before he blamed Trump?

While I despise AOC and the rest of the Democrats, it sickens me to watch so many of our politicians bend over backwards to kiss the azz of corporate behemoths like Amazon and their CEO’s when it comes to trying to score corporate moves/expansions into our hometowns. Those politicians hand EVERYTHING to these corporations while shafting the rest of us citizens into footing an outsized portion of the tax bill.

Why shouldn’t companies like Amazon be FORCED to pay taxes like the rest of us?

This is the 2nd year in a row that AMAZON has not paid ANYTHING in taxes - all while treating their workers like crap.

The GOP simply cannot continue to keep turning a blind eye to this if it wants to remain competitive in elections. Ive seen too many friends and coworkers vote Democrat despite their reservations simply because the GOP has a habit of giving these corporations whatever they want.
