How does she expect to attract the best by offering to pay 'least'?
Now I AM impressed!
Thats a living wage?
I think they should demand $100 per hour.
It’s D.C.
Spread the wealth!!! Socialism!!!
Where will the money come from?
Perhaps she will start learning some of the basics of real world economics, when she has a real payroll to meet.
Probably not though. Nor would she likely admit to it, if she did. She has had made her bed on the side of fantasy economics, and will likely have to lie in it.
I thought that is U.S. taxpayer money?
How is she paying them through her salary?
I HIGHLY doubt that.
That’s mighty white of her! :)
If interns are will do do the job for free, then hire interns that will work for free.
“Thats mighty white of her! :)”

VERY funny!
(Just logged on and your post was the first I saw.)
.
What actually happens with ‘unpaid’ Congressional interns is that they’re actually employed and paid by outside interest groups.
The lid blew off on that during Kavanaugh when one of Sheila Jackson Lee’s interns doxed Republican Senators.
Although I’m willing to bet that Ocasio-Cortez is actually oblivious to that when she made this announcement.
How does she expect to attract the best by offering to pay ‘least’?
Thats mighty white of her!
I watched an early 1930’s John Wayne movie on youtube the other day where characters in the flick said that exact same thing, twice.
... paying the same as McDonald’s?
Good!
That will put all the crony Democrats ( and Republicans) in Congress to shame.
The Hill is calling her “The Democrat rising star”...
WHAT THE CRAP HAS SHE DONE OTHER THAN WIN AN ELECTION BECAUSE HER OPPONENT WAS A LAZY-ASSED DEM PARTY HACK?
Talk about how the media “pimp’s” Democrat elected officials!
Now you know why most of the liberal media is thoroughly corrupt and in the anal area of the Democrats (they long ago got out of their pockets and aimed lower).
At least $15 per hour means $15 minimum and maybe more.
Start paying their unpaid interns?
This could tick off some Democrats who might not like having to expand their budget for interns.
