TALLAHASSEE — More than 2 million Florida voters have cast ballots and Republicans maintain a solid advantage over Democrats in turnout.

The blue wave remains mostly a mirage. More Republicans are "bringing it home" so far, in the words of Democratic candidate for governor Andrew Gillum.

Typically, the GOP has led from the start in mail ballots, and it edged ahead of the Democrats in early voting Thursday for the first time as several more GOP counties began early voting

Data I'm seeing has GOP with 106K lead:

Democrat 895,229

Republican 1,001,705

Independent 110,624

(Trump won Florida by about 100K votes)

im very glad to see the GOP lead in FL but more GOP votes are needed (to overcome the DNC ballot-stuffing in Miami, etc..)

Keep it up Florida. I have land in Florida and I don’t want to see the value plummet.

Gillum is in my town/county tomorrow.

WHy?

This is one of the most republican counties in the state so either he is getting bad advice from the likes of Trish Becker who is a co founder of the communist womens march here, and is running for mosquito control which is a step for her to gain into the county

Fear not Liberals, when the close, final count looms on the horizon, you can always “dig up” enough to put your candidates over the top. At least you could try.

Remember though, “It ain’t over ‘till the fat lady sings”.

The potential down side to this, and it has happened to the Democrats before is, these Early votes come potentially at the expense of the Election Day votes. Its something of a zero sum game. If we are taking it as a show of enthusiasm, I guess that’s one thing.

"FL: More than 2 million votes cast and GOP maintains (106K) advantage [!!! emphasis added]"

Compare 106K dated for today with following figure from three days ago (Wed 10/24/18).

10/26/16: REPs lead of 5,730 10/24/18: REPs lead of 53,160

106K > 53,160

Corrections welcome.

Secret democrat plan according to three sources and nine people who have access to this data. Instead of democrats doing their normal early turnout, they are all going to vote on Election Day. In many ways this is a disaster for republicans.

” Its something of a zero sum game.”

true, but if the trend for regular voting matches early voting, then Dems still behind by 5% ...
