Cruz harrassed at fancy DC restaurant (WHICH RESTAURANT ??? )
SELF | 9/25/18 | self

The "fancy DC restaurant" remains unnamed in every story I've seen so far. Name and shame the place. Who's protecting them ? (rhetorical question) The media won't name the restaurant, thus encouraging more of this behaviour. I want to know.

Once known, we must shout it far and wide.

Ole Ted should have phoned 911.Was he not witnessing and a complainant with his wife to harassment and breach of the peace? Instead, these morons have been emboldened.

Were the “protestors” other diners or did the group follow Cruz to the restaurant?

The Maitre de should be stripped of his jacket and book, along with the head waiter. They both should be made to walk down restaurant row with signs proclaiming “BAD HOST” while shouting ‘shame’ to the beat of a pot being banged.

One doesn’t allow one’s guest ANY discomfort!

See “Lone Survivor” ref ‘Pshtunwalli’ for an example...

Or Clarissa’s rant, “The Probability Broach” L Neil Smith

If true, the act is bad enough, the behavior of staff inexcusable.

Too bad Gusti's Italian restaurant, on L Street NW, isn't still in business. Not only did they serve excellent food, but in the 1970's, they sponsored Ronald Reagan's radio commentaries in the DC area. Chef Piero Biondi, who started his career at Gusti's, is a radio talk show host who although his subject is food, often vents outspoken conservative views.

These days, when I'm hungry for Italian food in DC, I usually head for Ledo Pizza in Arlington.

I guess the first question is whether it’s the restaurant’s fault. The mere fact that some leftists came in and created a disturbance doesn’t mean the proprietor condoned it... even though it is DC.

What they need to do is photograph the perps and let the world know who they are. Blaming the wrong guy doesn’t accomplish anything.

From the video, it looked like the restaurant was a victim of these thugs as well.

As soon as they started getting loud, restaurant staff were asking them them to leave.

The restaurant had no part in their actions.

We named and shamed this restaurant on the original thread, last night.

If innocent restaurants are blindly slandered and boycotted just for being the scene of a leftist ambush - even if they had no part in it - their only defense would be to try to prevent Conservatives from being on their premises, where they might attract such disruptions.

Did management call the cops? Press charges? If not, THAT IS the restaurant’s fault.

Prices start at $100. I’m definitely paying Cruz too much. Our meal budget for the entire day is $5.

From the looks of the foul mouthed freaks, they must have followed him in off the street. They weren’t dressed to dine.

The restaurant had no part in their actions.

Unless the hostess saw the name "TED CRUZ" on reservations and texted/called her REVCOM buddies to intercept.

My family Thanksgiving dinner has been $30-35 the past several years. That’s the whole shebang from the 20+ lb turkey to the dressing, homemade potato rolls and sides and two homemade pies (pumpkin and pecan). As much as I dumped on Cruz when he was running for POTUS, he’s more than welcome to this table for Thanksgiving.

“And didn’t the Bushies hire masked “Iraq War Protestors” a few years out of office to maintain our sympathy?

You betcha.”

What a load of crap, anyone believing that is a certifiable moron.

Ok I saw that Twitter video. That restaurant did nothing to defend its customer from harassment. And so for that I will say Scrooge and flux Fiola for allowing that crap from non customer hack leftists. If the owner was onsite even worse.

In today’s climate of hate, restaurants need bouncers and armed security.

You’d think by now conservatives would avoid eating out in DC. If they stopped eating out for two weeks, many of those restaurants would go broke and this hooey would stop. Managers and owners should call 911 the second there’s any disturbance.
