Poll: Lou Barletta and Bob Casey in Dead Heat in Pennsylvania Senate Race
Breitbart ^ | 20 Aug 2018 | Sean Moran

Posted on 08/20/2018 3:31:08 PM PDT by mandaladon

Rep. Lou Barletta (R-PA) and Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) are in a dead heat in the Pennsylvania Senate race, according to a poll released on Monday. A Commonwealth Leaders Fund poll found that Sen. Bob Casey leads by only two points, with Casey at 47 percent, Barletta at 45 percent, and 6.1 percent of Pennsylvania voters undecided. The poll had a 3.6-point margin of error, making the Pennsylvania Senate race a virtual toss-up.

The poll also weighted heavily for a significant Democrat turnout that outpaces previous “Democratic waves.” The poll suggested that Democrats will have a five-point turnout advantage over Republicans. However, if Democrat turnout drops below five percent over Republicans, the Commonwealth suggests it could spell trouble for Sen. Casey’s chances of getting re-elected.

The survey also found that a majority of Pennsylvania voters, 53 percent, strongly or somewhat approve of how President Donald Trump handles the presidency.

Congressman Barletta hopes to unseat the Democrat senator in the 2018 midterm elections. Barletta was one of the first Republican congressmen to endorse Donald Trump during the 2016 Republican presidential primaries and has championed Trump’s America First agenda of building a wall, cracking down on illegal immigration, and combating sanctuary cities.

Internal Poll: Wagner and Barletta in Striking Distance; Trump 8 point Net Approval

Closing the gap?

A new poll released today from Commonwealth Leaders Fund, a conservative group, shows GOP candidates for Governor and Senate are each trailing by less than 3 points to the Democratic incumbents.

The polling showed Gov. Tom Wolf leading Scott Wagner 46% to 43%. Sen. Bob Casey leads Rep. Lou Barletta 47% to 45%.
The polling, conducted via IVR interviews from Aug. 13-15, included 2,012 likely voters.

There are at least 20-25 states with U.S. Senate seats up for grabs by Republicans this upcoming Mid-Term election. I shall not list them here. Let the Media pollsters and pundits make fools of themselves. Go Trump, Go MAGA!!!

West Virginian & Nearby state Trump supporters and voters, jam the Trump rally tomorrow evening by the tens of thousands and drive the Democrat Party scum & vermin insane!!!

Hallelujah. I know Trump will be all over the place in the next couple of months stumping for various candidates, but I hope he can campaign at least a couple of more times with Barletta.

Casey is a luke warm candidate that ran on the issue that he is pro-life, although his voting record is suspect. He votes democrat in all but clear-cut votes about abortion. If he were truly pro-life like his father, he would vote differently. I think I’ll vote for Barletta.

Brett Baier and FAUX news said Trump had ZERO, not even a little, chance of winning.

“Philly may not show up at 110% in the black neighborhoods this time.”

I’m thinking the same. If they like Trump, but Trump isn’t running, they may at least stay home. If so, then we will own PA, providing that the locals working the polling places don’t proxy-vote for them, as they tend to do.

Poll: Lou Barletta and Bob Casey in Dead Heat in Pennsylvania Senate Race

Partner, Bob Casey needs to be retired in the great state of Pennsylvania.

Bob Casey is the ultimate politician who votes strictly with the communists/socialists/anarchists leaders of the Rat party. Heck, he voted against all the great Tax cuts that President Trump put forth and these Tax cuts will get us in sound economic footing period.

Heck, we have a Bull Market right now without any of Bob Casey's help!

No election involving a democrat has ever experienced “3.6 point margin of error”

With a Dem on the ballot, it’s always 50 points.

47 to 45 is a dead heat when the Republican has 47

Sounds like the momentum is in favor of the Democrat and the Republican will be in the dust by election day.

See, this fakenews is easy.

I haven't seen a single Lou Barletta sign until last week. Now, they are popping up like mushrooms after a summer rain.

Our village idiot has occupied the senate seat for 12 long years. He REALLY needs to go.

Barletta would be a GREAT replacement.

I would love to say that I see Casey and Wolf gone, but honestly I just don’t see anything that give me any reason to think that’s going to happen.

The GOP is not remotely delivering a message that is going to drive anyone outside the base here to show up... those non traditional MAGA voters who turned out big for Trump are not being talked to let alone given a reason to show up this fall.

Dems are going to turn out at near presidential year levels and I see, sadly, nothing on the ground to make me think R’s will get turnout above traditional mid term levels.

I’d love to eat crow in that, but short of the Dems completely overplaying their hand near Election Day and motivating this folks to turn out in soite of the GOP’s electoral incompetence... I really expect Wolf and Casey to win handily.

Sadly for the same reason I see a lot of purple and pink districts going blue, particularly in this part of the country.

The GOP seems unwilling to accept the lessons of Trump

We need a Lou and Casey, debate..
Casey will deny one..because he is a pussy, and knows jack ****,
Lou needs to put pressure on Casey and demand a debate..

Voters in Pennsylvania need to vote Casey OUT...He does Nothing for our State..He goes into hiding as soon as the election is over and we never see him until time for another election...write to him..takes him months to answer, and when he answers he avoid totally your question and just writes, patting his own back, a typical form letter...He is totally disgusting...

VOTE LOU BARETTA

Oh not it isn't. There will be a lot of folks who are woke to the horror of the mistake they made in being lulled into voting for Trump and will seek to reverse that. /s/

Much of the Pennsylvania Republican establishment is not supporting Barletta.
It’s even worse in Virginia where the Republican establishment is stabbing Corey Stewart in the back.

Two commonwealths that could turn Republican except for the traitorous RINOs who won’t support a conservative.

Its close and I really don’t hate Lou, but I do hate that an innocent man is sitting at the federal prison in Allenwood right now.

Lou better get involved in Greg Burleson’s case and pass the word in Washington DC to the White House for immediate action before the election.

Take a look at page 15 of the poll (link is in post #54) showing the breakdown between conservatives, moderates, and liberals. It’s quite interesting.

Conservatives vastly outnumber liberals in the poll, despite more Democrats being polled, and moderates constitute 27% of the sample.

This is why the #walkaway campaign is so interesting. I believe that the Dems’ leftward lurch has been so abrupt that it will sour many moderates on the party altogether. Whether they join #walkaway or not, I think they’re going to have trouble voting for the new Democrat socialist agenda. I also think the campaign ads are going to be devastating to the Dems this midterm for that reason. All the GOP has to do is repeat the Dems’ own words in many cases. That’s how loopy they’ve become.

Some of those “conservatives” in the poll must even vote Democrat traditionally, given how many of them there are. Those should be completely lost to the Democrats for years given their recent actions. If enough moderates also are having second thoughts about supporting socialism, this poll could be not an outlier, but a harbinger of things to come across the country.

That said, I too worry about the massive Dem turnout in many of the primary elections so far.

53% approval for Trump, yet dems will get extra turnout?
