FULL TITLE: New California Law Limits How Much Water People Can Use – Including Monitoring Toilet Flushes, Showers

California Governor Jerry Brown signed a new law that would severely restrict the amount of water people can use inside of their homes.

The government of California will now be monitoring people’s toilet flushes, showers and laundry use.

Under the new water use limits, each person will barely have enough ‘daily water allowance’ to do one load of laundry and take an 8 minute shower.

This also covers outdoor use so no watering your lawns or gardens, peasants.

There will soon be more focus on flushes and scrutiny over showers with a new law signed in by the governor.

I’m sure there are wavers for the elites’ swimming pools and spas.

So California’s legions of homeless will win the Water Conservation Award by not showering or flushing at all.

For the decent Californians, past and present, who voted the wrong way out of guilt or ignorance

We told you so

The left always over reach. Will this be the spark the begins the revolt? Don’t know. What I do know is that a one party system with a lapdog media eventually turns all communities into Venezuela.

Thousands of Californians are voting with their feet (or U-Haul) and leaving. These are not the non-producers, but the beaten down middle class. Escaping from this progressive Utopia.

There is an ocean of water to the west. Instead of a railroad to nowhere why not desalinization plants?

But no effort to desalinate one drop of sea water...

I get by on less than 2.5 gallons of water per day most days, and 1.0 on some.

Well, I do flush the toilet too, so that isn’t quite accurate.

I wonder if it’s allowed to flush Sacramento just once. There’s a lot of backed up jerry brown “stuff” up there.

No houseguests or parties. On the other hand, you can always go to Starbucks to use the restroom. Maybe they will install showers.

In 2022, the new indoor water standard will be 55 gallons per person, per day. by 2030, it will fall to 50 gallons.

That's about double what I use; and I'm simply using what I need, without being a conservation fanatic.

The big joke here is that any water used in the home that goes down the drain is generally what is called non-consumptive use. That is, after being processed in a septic tank or waste treatment facility, it ends up back in the aquifer, the river, or whatever. Consumptive use, which is the real problem, would be things like evaporation from irrigated land, transpiration in crops, evaporative coolers.

Socialists always seek control through rationing. They literally want to ration every thing of value, to make the public absolutely dependent on government.

A great example of this was in East Germany. It was extremely hard to get even cheap items, like toilet paper. The only paints available were black, white and gray, because color was reserved to “honor the state”.

Leftists embrace Satan’s statement in Paradise Lost: that it is better to rule in Hell, than be servants in Heaven.

We learned from Cheryl Crow that 1 square of TP is all you ever need so I’m sure her fellow travelers in the entertainment industry will take to this quite easily.
