Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said on Sunday that voters need to use the ballot box to achieve change on gun control in the wake of the deadly shooting at a Santa Fe high school last week.
"People at the state level and the federal level in too many places in our country are not doing anything other than offering prayers," Acevedo told CBS's Margaret Brennan on "Face the Nation."
"We need to start using the ballot box and ballot initiatives to take the matters out of the hands of people that are doing nothing that are elected into the hands of the people to see that the will of the people in this country is actually carried out," he added.
Acevedo aired his frustrations on Facebook on Saturday over the Santa Fe shooting.

So in my Sunday school class this morning, the lady that I teach mentioned this clown--mentioning a social media exchange where apparently this sub-genius made some point about there being more regulations governing doors for schools than there are rules for guns.
I had to do some thinking on that--then I realized the point was irrelevant. Regulation of guns in school is simple in many jurisdictions is simple--no guns allowed. How many pages does it take to write that? But does EVEN THE MOST STUPID LIBTARD think that such regulations would stop one of these killers?
Gun control is absolutely critical if we are to become a communist nation.

In Houston, the mayor nominates them & are approved by the city council and yes Houston is a blue territory. All the major Texas cities are blue territories now.

When the po-po show up at a citizen’s door with a piece of paper that tells them that the person inside is armed and dangerous, they’re going to be in SWAT mode. I don’t think the Red Flag laws even require the po-po to give notice that they’re on the way. The mentality is identical to no-knock drug raids.
Because, if fingered citizen gets a phone call saying “this is the police and we’re coming to seize your guns”, those guns could go flying out the back door to safe storage & citizen will say something like “oh, I moved them out of state months ago”. That’s what the po-po assume will result so the entire operation from initial denunciation to officers at the door must all take place without citizen’s knowledge lest he be forewarned.
Again, due process, including the right to confront one’s accuser, be d@mned.
