CNN had a midterm elections message on Wednesday for its own Chris Cillizza: Don't count your electoral chickens before they hatch. As recently as Tuesday, Cillizza was hailing that "all signs are pointing to a Democratic wave." The very next day, CNN had some rather sobering news for the giddy Cillizza in the form of their poll, Democrats' 2018 advantage is nearly gone:

Republicans are on high ground in November.
The Dems will be riding out the storm, particularly in the U. S. Senate.

That’s not enough to win. Hillary tried that strategy, spent hundreds of millions telling people she wasn’t Trump without ever telling what she stood for - and she lost.
Dems aren’t going anywhere this November, they’re just drifting, leader-less and direction-less.

I’ve been pretty skeptical of this blue wave for a while. There just aren’t that many swing Congressional districts these days.
CNN is fake news - whether it is good or bad. It will still be fake.

This fake news is really funny. Even Hillary believed it. They were all ready to celebrate and got beat down. Fake news network should really come out and say that the democrats are way ahead on all the polls in all of the elections. It will be fun to see the democrats squirm as they keep on losing. This fake news stuff is perfect.

See all this stuff we are doing you really like, Dem so and so running in Nov voted against it.
See all this stuff you hated and we got rid of, Dem x voted to keep it.
See all this stuff you still want done. Democrat candidate such and such will vote to stop us.

Problem with the mid terms for Trump supporters is they dont have much of a choice. The Democrats and most of the Republicans are working together to undermine Trump. So they dont feel they have anyone to vote for and may stay home.
We are into May. In a normal mid-term, the parties would have met by the end of December and created the top priorities to be talking about.
The Democratic message for working-class Americans? The Trump-tax program goes as soon as possible...retreat from positive job numbers...and prosecute Trump via impeachment. So the little guy asks....what’s in this for me? And he sees nothing to go and vote Democratic in November. It takes an incredible amount of naive nature and stupidity to center on this very limited message.
