Former first lady Barbara Bush is in failing health, a source close to the Bush family tells CNN. At 92 years old, Bush has been suffering for some time and has been in and out of the hospital multiple times in the last year while battling with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, or COPD, and congestive heart failure. The source said she is being cared for at her home in Houston and has decided she does not want to go back into the hospital.

One of the best jokes I heard was fro Robin Williams in early 1989. He said, “Barbara Bush has been First Lady for only 2 months and already they put her on the dollar bill”.
Only difference between the Bush's and the Kennedy's is they didn't leave a dead girl in a car...maybe.

If I recall, her position on abortion was not on demand or government paid for but rather in the case of rape, incest or the life of the mother........
And for what it's worth, since when has the wife or the mother of a president been able to influence the Supreme Court and overturn R v W?
And here's some more food for thought Jon, who is responsible for bringing up the right to life issue during election seasons when it comes to the Republican party? Why is it never an issue for Democrats? I'm sure there are many of them who are pro life but never brought to task on their belief. Why?
Last but not least Jon, there's not a damn thing a president can do to overturn Roe v. Wade. That's up to the Supreme Court. Considering we currently have held the most conservative court since 1945 and nothing has been done thru presidents Reagan, Bush, Bush and now Trump to overturn it, to place the litmus paper regarding abortion on a candidate is a waste of time and falls into the hands of the MSM who wants to drive a wedge between a candidate and the voters.........

I am sure Bill Clinton will speak at the elder President’s funeral AND possibly at Barbara’s as well. I know Trump won’t speak and depending on how he is emotionally maybe W will speak at both. But Clinton will be the main speaker at both funerals.
Actually Trump could do what Obama did when Scalia died, just go to the viewing.
She could be around another 10 years. COPD seems to be the “go to” prognosis anytime anyone coughs.

Down the road from Walker's Point, St. Ann's on Ocean Ave, there is evidence of the Bush Family's devotion, faith and generosity. I dare say, when they reach the Pearly Gates, they will be received favorably.
