Someone should tell Schumer that Eisenhower used military funds to start the interstate highway system, because it was of strategic value for national security.
One of the requirements was that every x miles of highway had to contain several straight contiguous miles, in order to serve as emergency runways in case of military emergency.
For cryin’ out loud Schumer, of course the wall is an issue of national security.
As we all now know, an omnibus “budget” bill is not a budget bill at all. The allocations in the omnibus bill are mere suggestions. Obama did anything he wanted with his, an Trump can do the same.

I think it’s all pretty stupid discussion. Even if Trump were to try to do that, I guarantee the courts would put a stop to it before he could even finish his announcement. In my opinion Trump screwed up by not fighting for it now, making it harder for him to accomplish this key campaign promise.
