Someone should tell Schumer that Eisenhower used military funds to start the interstate highway system, because it was of strategic value for national security.

One of the requirements was that every x miles of highway had to contain several straight contiguous miles, in order to serve as emergency runways in case of military emergency.

For cryin’ out loud Schumer, of course the wall is an issue of national security.

bump!

It would be hard for dems/courts to argue that Border Security is NOT a part of defense but highways are.

The Army Corps of Engineers is capable of managing this project.

My dad worked on a lot of those roads around NYC. The Pentagon guys were always around. One of their bugaboos was overpass height. Several completed overpasses on the Long Island Expressway had to be torn down and rebuilt to Pentgon specs. If Schumer pushes lawsuits the records of those rebuilt overpasses should be introduced as evidence.

We need a new Border Highway with a 30 foot tall sound barrier.
