Trump signs $1.3 trillion spending bill despite veto threat on Twitter
Washington Post ^ | March 23, 2018 | John Wagner and Mike DeBonis

Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown. In a morning tweet, Trump said he might veto the omnibus bill because it does nothing to address the fate of young undocumented immigrants known as “dreamers” and does not fully fund his border wall. But speaking to reporters at the White House about four hours later, Trump said he had decided to sign the bill despite his reservations, arguing that it provides much-needed funding for the military, including a pay increase for troops and new equipment.Just hours after threatening a veto, President Trump said Friday afternoon that he had signed the sweeping $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress early Friday and averted a government shutdown.

A personal insult coming from someone that obviously doesn’t know shit from Shinola is ineffective.

Of course I do because you polish it up so anyone can see it.

“Trump just joined the swamp”

I surely hope you are wrong. Trump is always jumps ahead of the swamp.
Still trying to figure this one out.

No, Trump will served a second term.

I said that before he ever even received the Nomination, I just wish he would quit trying to prove me wrong.

Trump’s either the most intelligent man on the planet and has something up his sleeve OR someone’s holding something over his head (i.e. the porn women)...

Let’s hope he gets that wall built. Otherwise, he’s TOAST.

When was the last time you marched in DC? Showed up at your Reps DC or even district office?

That is the best way to show these corrupt Reps we are on them like 6 is on 7...AND to show support for POTUS.

The Tea Party showed up, in masse, to protest the gawd awful 0CommieCare. Where are we on what the RINOs are doing to POTUS, now?

A good start would have been to not sign the bill and stop this insane DACA amnesty talk

Let the chips fall

I don’t see our side celebrating but I do see the opposition doing the Compiegne faux jig

I just wrote we are all Trump has

His voters

Against the complete media and entertainment community and basically institutional America from academia to most boardrooms to the Democrats of course and the GOPe

What is his power

Us

An amalgamation of voters who work and view American history as something to be proud of rather than apologize for and borders borders borders

His course of action is acting on our behalf

Not compromising or appeasing with our enemies....

He has to go it alone

It’s a tall order but he has the political power if he doesn’t lose it

If he loses that he’d done....he has few pals where he is

If he’d vetoed this the media and McCain’s would have howled

But he’d be a hero and his political stock woulda risen sharply

If I sound like I’m mimicking Rush I am sorta but it was my view already...Rush just reiterated how i already felt

Now we’re damaged

This is my first sharp divergence except hisnprior amnesty rhetoric

I realize Bannon is hated here now.....basically smeared as a Nazi now

Wonder what his advice would have been

Wonder ironically what Stephen Millers was if asked....I doubt he supported signing it...I hope not anyhow....last ideologue left in the west wing to my liking

No offense

But if comparing Trump to Hillary is to be our benchmark then we’d have been happy with Joe Biden

He’s better than Hillary

So is say Evan Bayh

This is Trump....he’s stumbling ...sad to say

Signing this monstrosity and waxing about amnesty for 1.8 milllion at the same time

It’s hard to explain that away

Toxic swamp fumes perhaps

Bullishit.

Trump got embarrassingly snookered on this.

Trump proved he is just like all the politicians that came before.

All talk, no action!

And that Q shit?

What a joke!

Because it shows how he slipped in his plan to circumvent the Dems obstruction, by assigning the wall building to be built by the Army Corps of Engineers, as it truly is a matter of national security. Because it strips the corrupt Dem sub-contractors from ripping off the taxpayers. And just as importantly, it assigns millions to the IG that specifically can not be limited or denied by the Dems/Pub traitors. That is what I call a genius workaround.

Great point. Guilty as charged. Hopefully, after the midterms POTUS will unleash MAGA forces. Nothing will change until the GOP fears us.

> Trump had no choice.

What’s the point of having a Republican Congress and a Republican President when s**t like the omnibus gets passed?

At this rate, 2018 is going to be a blue bloodbath as the traitorous GOPe inspires exactly zero Conservatives to support them at the poll booth.

Nope. He proved he’s not superman and how limited a POTUS is when he is trying to govern without the own support of his own party.

What’s over his head daily is Mueller and GOP acquiescence to his criminal witch hunt. That is derailing his term, clearly.

Cut corporate tax cuts almost in half,

I love Trump. I really do. But we slashed the corporate rate for Facebook, Google, Twitter, and other Christian hating and conservative hating companies, and my taxes are going up because my tax deductions are capped or made illegal in order to "pay for" slashing the corporate rate from 35% to 21%.

Just sayin......

A lot has been accomplished in 14 months and I have doubt a lot more will be by Trump.

Sort of like climbing 90 feet up a hundred foot wall and falling off the ladder.
