Speaking at a press conference, Florida Governor Rick Scott has unveiled his plan to prevent another school attack like the one that claimed 17 lives in Parkland, Florida. Governor Scott pledged his support for a “gun violence restraining order,” raising the minimum age to purchase any type of firearm to 21, banning bump fire stocks and putting a police officer in every school.
I bet Sheriff Joe could spearhead this program

Scott just torpedoed his Senate run.
I’ve been a big fan of Scott, but he just lost my vote. When Rubio ran for reelection in ‘16, I left that line blank, so I understand the technique.

The answer to armed guards in schools is armed TEACHERS!
Vetted, trained, volunteers with stipends, insurance, legal representation.
A concealed weapon RIGHT THERE in the CLASSROOM! Hallway, Gym.
No uniforms to give the identity of the guard’s identity away.
Not ONE guard for an entire school, but multiple undercover guards (teachers) all over the school.
Who wants to protect the kids more than teachers?

Dumb idea before the midterms.
The victory for gun control is by stopping tens of thousands of 18 year olds from picking up a rifle each year, it slowly kills off the hobby of hunting and target shooting as folks tend not to want to learn new things later in life.
If a government can pass a law that you must be 21 to buy a gun, could they not also pass a law that you can buy a gun at age 10?
Saying you have to be 21 is no different than saying you have to be 18. Neither
of the restrictions are in the Constitution. If you’re upset over the age being set at 21, you should be upset at the age being set at 18.
My first presidential vote was for President Nixon's second term and I had to wait until I was 21 to vote. (I cried in the stairwell at work when he resigned.)
They lowered the voting age because if boys were being drafted for VietNam, then they surely should be allowed to vote.

18 is adulthood age. A logical age to allow full rights. 21 is arbitrary. Drinking at 21 is stupid too. I don’t know a single person who did not drink between 18 and 21. Scott just cooked his goose.
After the next shooting, so would Rick Scott apparently. If a 38 year shoots people, we have to get rid of them all, following his logic. Stick a fork in him.

If you can’t be trusted to buy a gun till you’re 21, how about you can’t vote till then either?
