In the wake of the shooting that killed 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida, stars far and wide are speaking out in the ongoing gun control debate. Now, “The Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik has made an impassioned plea for “civil disobedience.”
The star took to Facebook with a video post calling out lawmakers who receive funding from the National Rifle Association and private citizens who own guns.
“The images of those 17 faces will not leave my head, but I said that about the last shooting and the last faces and indeed, we forget,” she said. “I’m angry, I feel numb, I feel disgusted, I feel horrified and sometimes I feel all of these things at once.”
Unlike some of her celebrity counterparts, Bialik acknowledged the many other facets that often come up in the gun control debate, but noted that nothing can be done about them en masse.

Civil disobedience can in some instances get you shot. Not this ‘actor’ of course, but others. Careful what you wish for inciting possible violence.

Umm...lots of folks already give up their right to self-defense, and all it means to me is that they are blind to evil. I have co-workers who wouldn’t THINK of owning a gun. Nor do they have armed guards. They just count on being lucky.
And no, stupid people do not have the right to take away my GOD-given right to defend my life and the lives of innocent people around me.
The school shooting people are kind of like the Prohibition people - alcohol CAN be used badly, so ban all alcohol. That didn’t turn out too well, in part because of unintended consequences. To ban guns effectively, you would need at a minimum door to door searches. Then people like the old woman in a wheelchair across the street would have to count on the cops arriving in time when someone tries to force open her window at night. Last time, it took the cops over 30 minutes to get there - which is why she bought a gun and took lessons.
The gun control people look through a straw at one problem, and refuse to acknowledge that guns can be used for good things - like years ago when I used one at the end of a hike to protect myself from thugs.

Whoa, dude! Where does Blossom get that kind of total state power? How does she do the taking? She and what army?
