If all schools were privatized, parents can send their kids to the schools that best meet their kid's individual needs and nurture their talents. And you can bet that most of these schools will have armed staff on hand too.
Or, they can simply purchase an educator's kit and have their kid study at home on the computer. Or co-op with other parents and hire an educator who'll teach a group of kids in a home or leased building.
Just the idea of hundreds of kids simultaneously attending the same building with strict rules and government-enforced edicts is an anachronism and would make the Founders spin in their graves.
Public grade schools are a socialistic influence. In truth there is no normal student.
It is called warehousing I guess. It isolates the isolated. Left to stew, they soon boil over. Sad.
Kid likely had no friends, no adult to model,no morality instruction, no real acquaintances, and only firearms as friends.
But he could occupy his days long lonely space with violent movies and likely just as violent video games.
He should pay a very heavy penalty, maybe death. As should those adults around him.
This high school had 3000 students. My high school had 450 students and that seem like a lot of students. I can't image how you adequately control 3000 teenagers.
I know that will never happen...
but the world was safer when there were mom's and dads in every home...
