It is called warehousing I guess. It isolates the isolated. Left to stew, they soon boil over. Sad.
Kid likely had no friends, no adult to model,no morality instruction, no real acquaintances, and only firearms as friends.
But he could occupy his days long lonely space with violent movies and likely just as violent video games.
He should pay a very heavy penalty, maybe death. As should those adults around him.
That's exactly what they're going to do.
This incident will be gone from the national news, probably by tomorrow morning, certainly by the weekend.

Heck, the Las Vegas shooting killed 58 and wounded 850, and the MSM-Democrats made it disappear completely. They'll do the same here.
In times past, high school age boys didn’t take anti-depressant drugs and all they thought about was girls and sex.
Now the boys are doped up from an early age, and are browbeaten away from sex and girls UNLESS they wanna be a little homo, or chop their penis off and BE a girl.
We are creating a very screwed up generation. Always be carrying...they are everywhere out there.
This high school had 3000 students. My high school had 450 students and that seem like a lot of students. I can't image how you adequately control 3000 teenagers.

No repercussions for crime.
No repercussions for hurting animals,others.
With this combo, intervention must be firm, consistent, and results oriented. The idea of religion can be very helpful, but not if the drugs in infancy or later are too much.
The worst thing for the boy is to talk to a female therapist about feelings.
I’m 61, so I recall Streaking very well. I wondered why most all of it stopped so quickly. It was sort of harmless fun.
Nowadays they would call it PhotoBombing a bus event, while nude.
People under 40 may never have heard of that summertime foolishness.

We have no mental health safety net in this country; it is a folking disgrace

It’s not only that, the alienation among peers. Not to minimize it.
Young white males are also relentlessly inculcated with the idea that they have utterly no future in America. Everything wrong with America is their fault. Everything they have is as a result of privilege. And what is certain is that society is now bound and determined to right that injustice by revoking their future, socially exiling them, and taking away any hope they might have had for a prosperous future. They are first to be blamed for all societal woes and what’s even more insidious, they have no way to right this wrong. Through no fault of their own, illegals are to be given every right and absolved from all but the most heinous of crimes. Through no fault of his own, his very skin color is in itself a badge of dishonor and a guarantee of a demeaned future. It’s not hard to imagine if you put yourself in his shoes that you are doomed to a seriously diminished future, and while it is of course insanely wrong and inherently evil to take this out upon society by conducting a wanton slaughter, if we’re talking about causes, this is a definite something.
The boy (killer) was taken from his mother when born. He was immediately given to thie adoptive mom along with her husband (who later died). When the State takes a newborn it’s usually because the pregnant mother is a drug addict. Some other visual clues support the drug possibility, but far be it from me to sound racist. Judging by his behavior, this kid’s violence was determined very early. If he was on ssri’s (my other post), with this pattern, the boy was destined to hurt others. There are good interventions, but you will never hear from doctor or school, they are politically incorrect.
I don’t recall any sob story press about the white supremacist who shot up that predominantly black church or that driver who’s vehicle was being attacked with baseball bats by masked anarchist-Communists.
This shooter was an ADULT and an EX-student. He had made previous threats and was a KNOWN WOLF.
Lock up the crazy people already.
And there was a higher body count at the Orlando shooting.
When the press proclaims this to be more touching/impact/hurtful, are they downplaying the lives of gay men in a bar vs. young students?

Suicides largely are not reported in the press.
There was a whole genre of lone nut terrorist movies in the 1970s (recall Rollercoaster, which wasn’t just filmed and released but promoted and aired on one of the alphabet networks when most people only had 4-8 channels)... but the “trend” in society died off as media hype died off.

Funny..its the 89th anniversary of another mass shooting, the St Valentines Day massacre...theres been mass shootings for hundreds of years, yet only after 24/7 cable news, did it seem its exploded. These idiots will go wall to wall with this for at least a week..fancy graphics and titles...just to push their agenda. They glorify this stuff...

Lots of people have a “troubled history”, they don’t go around shooting up schools.
At my HS, 3200 students, no metal detectors, no fenced in campus, no school resource police officer, just a vice principal with a paddle board he used on unruly students, when needed. Most boys carried a pocket knife. On practice and competition days, members of the rifle team carried their firearms to class, because the lockers were too small to fit the gun cases. We had no shootings, stabbings, or any mass casualty events.
