The Real Reason Pelosi is Calling On Conyers to Resign

Posted on 11/30/2017 12:27:25 PM PST by Cubs Fan

why is pelosi calling for the resignation of a black democrat (which, to liberals is about as close to godlike as a human being can get) Why would she do that?

Here's why IMO-- Conyers is 88 years old. He will most likely retire, fall ill or die soon. So losing him shortly is going to happen either way.

Whereas losing Franken could potentially be the loss of a career democrat with many years ahead of him.

Going after conyers allows pelosi to look like she actually cares about women being harassed, without sacrificing much in the way of dem power.

Thus allowing her to target Roy Moore, without looking like as much of a hypocrite.

Conyers is 88, he will begone soon either way. So calling for his ouster doesn't hurt the dems much. But asking for his resignation gives Pelosi the political capital to go after Roy Moore without looking as hypocritical.

Probably not a safe bet. Just like sheets byrd, difi and pelosi herself these implants of evil seem to just hang around alive forever. There is some sort of lesson there for us but I don’t see it.

Its likely too late to affect the Alabama election. Just my thoughts. In the end, Pelosi will have to take a public stand against Gropey McGropeface in order to avoid looking like a douche herself

Yep, I fully agree.

Conyers would certainly be replaced with another Plantation Lefty. She would gladly trade I-Conyers to keep out Moore, who is a threat to the entire Establishment Elite.

That's my same belief regarding Soros. The comments I read is that they will see their penalty on judgment day. But that doesn't help the rest of us on this planet that have to endure decades worth of mistreatment and abuse.

He isn’t going to leave congress. He is teflon. Only if he doesn’t run for re-election.

The Real Reason Pelosi is Calling On Conyers to Resign...

Are you sure it's not because Zimbabwe's dictator just resigned, so there's an opening available for Conyers ...

This is what the Democrats are defending (in addition to the sexual assault problem) .... they know he's unfit to serve (since 2014 at least) and he's being used as one more Dem vote.

The Other Conyers Bombshell That Was An Open Secret: A Top Congressman’s Deteriorating Mental Health

Michigan newspaper The News Herald deemed Conyers unfit to hold office in a 2014 editorial. “Accounts of the 84-year-old’s seeming disinterest in the job or downright absentmindedness aren’t hard to come by,” the column stated.

“Conyers is no longer fit to serve, and those close to him must know it,” Detroit News columnist Nolan Finley wrote the same year.

“I don’t know whether he has dementia, Alzheimer’s, senility or some other form of diminished mental capacity,” Finley added. “It’s just clear that he’s not quite right.”

A New York Times article last week noted that Conyers has “already handed over much of the day-to-day committee work to staff aides and other Democratic members in recent years, and has often appeared disoriented.”

“In at least two separate occasions — once at a United Automobile Workers event in Michigan and once at a meeting of top Democrats on Capitol Hill — Mr. Conyers showed up wearing pajamas, according to two people familiar with the incidents,” the Times reported. Conyers’ office denied that report.

Business Insider editor Josh Barro noted that Conyers is “widely reputed to be losing his mental faculties.” ABC News’ Terry Moran described Conyers as having “sharply declining mental capacities.”

Lib-Dems are in the mood these days to tear down icons...like Confederate Army statues....so why not tear down the “icon” (Pelosi’s term for Conyers - a women’s rights champion, apparently) of the Party?

Both of those are safe Rat seats and could host the new model of Barrack Hussein Obama for Democrat launch, so Franken is not near as valuable as that.

Some of these actions may just be the result of Rats collectively trying to set fire to DJT while soaked trough with gasoline themselves.

Yes, your position is logically sound.

I assumed that Franken would be told to step down as well - Minnesota has a moonbat Governor who will appoint a reliable leftist, and after, all, Minnesota, so that reliable moonbat new Senator will very likely be re-elected.

So Franken could also be let go without any damage in the Senate, and to keep up the hypocrisy of the Democrat Party.

I appear to wrong on Franken though.

I agree with your reasoning but I don’t think it was Pelosi who figured this out herself. Somebody sat her down and set her straight then plugged her in and put her in front of the camera.

I am totally confident Nancy Poops is motivated to go after Roy Moore, but even more so President Trump!

Additionally, I strongly believe she is aiming at placing someone much more vocal and militant in Conyers position as head of the Judiciary Committee!

The left wing Demon Party will now place someone much more vocal, religiously secular, and militant to represent them in the Judiciary Committee, in order to more proactively and loudly intervene against Trumps judicial appointments!

Guaranteed!

Pelosi has been playing some odd games lately, IMO. She has had a couple “town halls” where there were groups allowed into the event that were obviously there to protest against her and in favor of amnesty. They have been giving her a hard time and complaining she wasn’t doing enough. And she played along and scolded them. It was strange. I figured it was strategic in some way to help her grandstand later.

I agree with your supposition. She is scrambling for some credibility somewhere. I assume this is another angle to try and get some sort of respect from some group. Conyers is an easy out.

I’d like to know what other legislators have had to pay out and been accused.

The Congressional Black Caucus is calling on Conyers to resign. That gives Pelosi the cover to call for his resignation, too.

The number of accusers against Franken is growing, almost up to Moore accuser numbers. I don't see Franken surviving this. I think he resigns and the Minnesota governor appoints Keith Ellison to replace him. Then Schumer and McConnell make sure that Moore serves on committees with Senator Ellison and Senator Baldwin just to spite him.
