How a New York Senator Can Rag on the Clintons without Risk of Death
American Thinker.com ^ | November 20, 2017 | Michael Nollett

On November 16, 2017, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) kicked off her run for the 2020 presidency by intoning that Bill Clinton should have resigned (in disgrace?) in 1998 over the Monica Lewinsky affair.

Talk sure is cheap, isn't it? That's because the Democrats had in their power to dump Clinton in 1999 and kick him right out of office – and took a pass on it. They could even have accomplished this with a minority of their Senate membership. And not only would it have been easy, but it would even have redounded to their benefit, by guaranteeing their continued rule for at least six more years and probably ten. They would have only benefited from doing so. And how!

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States states that "no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." This means that if Vice President Albert Sidney "Al" Gore had succeeded to the Presidency in 1999, he would have been enabled to serve out the time remaining in Clinton's term – and then two full terms of his own. Gore would have been on a fast track to become the longest serving president in American history, save only Franklin Roosevelt himself.

Does she support renaming the Clinton National Airport in Little Rock? Isn’t the name itself triggering for victims of sex abuse?

Libs are throwing Clinton under the bus, suggesting he should have resigned, for the same reason they’re calling on Franken to resign.

They want that precedence of resignation to be in place prior to a new round of accusations against Trump.

Actually, that sounds like Gore (or whoever), would not be able to run more than one time on his own, after having served 2 years of a previous president. Thus, Gore would have served only 6 years, and not allowed any more time.

Look where the Clintons have brought the nation - where criticizing them is universally understood to bring with it the risk of death.

Yes. An attempt at humor.

Reminds me of The Godfather after the Don is shot -If this had been five years ago, would they get close to your father?

Gillibrand is still being very cowardly by not mentioning the more egregious accusations that Bill Clinton could have gone to prison for life. Those other accusation include rape, and the Monica Lewinski case was about consensual sex. Lying to congress or to a grand jury is not punishable with life in prison. So, Gillibrand is not willing to go the full route against Bill and Hillary. She is looking at the least damaging of the accusations.

Bernie Sanders is a very lucky politician. He could have ended up like George Wallace, back when the DNC did their own dirty work.

Not HAD -—

HAVE—

Maybe the originals were returned, but I can double/triple guarantee you that every single page was copied. Clintons still use those files & will do so until every person involved is dead.

I’ll disagree. This goes to laying the groundwork to have Moore eliminated from the election. The fate of the tax reform bill is in jeopardy from their viewpoint because Moore closely aligns with Rand Paul on this issue. Ergo, the full court press to get the deal done before Dec. 12.

THERE’S NOTHING BRAVE WHATSOEVER in her very belated comments — about the WRONG Billy “scandal” to boot. Clinton RAPED a woman, which is much worse than Monica. Yet no Democrats are even touching that subject. And HRC is finished. The DNC has expelled her operatives and they have no power in the party anymore. Where’s the “courage”?

Odd that this newspaper would decide to use the gross middle school epithet “rag on” (to bleed into a menstrual flow cloth while acting extremely fretful and irritated) as a term for a liberal feminist democrat woman Senator to complain about a liberal democrat president (and his liberal democrat extreme feminist so-called wife) 30 year history of sexual intimidation, rapes, and numerous assaults.

If Kirsten Gillibrand is openly critical of the Clintons you can be assured that it is has been approved at higher levels.

Kirsten has job security.

She comes from a solid democrat family with deep connections to the NY State democrat machine centered in Albany, the NY State capital.

Her grandmother was Polly Noonan, the mistress of Albany Mayor Erastus Corning.
Corning was the mayor of Albany from 1942 until 1983.

It is widely thought that Kirten’s mother is the illegitimate daughter of Mayor Corning.

Corning was more or less the Albany equivalent of Chicago’s original Mayor Daley (father to the present mayor).
Although Corning was probably more powerful than Daley because the source of his power was at the top of the democrat machine that controlled the state capitol.

In those days Corning was the powerful associate and ally of Dan O’Connell, who was head of the Albany Democratic machine for almost 50 years until his death in 1977.

Nothing got done in the NY capital city unless O’Connell and Corning got a piece of the action.
They controlled everything.

When Hillary Clinton, then senator of NY, broke her promise to finish out her term and became Obama’s Secretary of State, Kirsten was hand picked to be appointed her successor.

She doesn’t care about any of that. This is all about Gillibrand positioning herself to run for President in 2020.
