"The U.S. Army is set to decide whether Pvt. Bowe Bergdahl is entitled to as much as $300,000 in back pay and other benefits he amassed during his captivity with the Taliban.
Military personnel who have risked their lives to serve their country should be loudly protesting, except that they may face punishment; after all, the Army has been protecting the traitor Bergdahl for some time, forcing soldiers who knew the truth about Bergdahls betrayal to ( sign nondisclosure agreements.)

He and that judge both need to be at GITMO.
Clown World.
for a DISHONORABLE discharge???
Because he converted to the religion of death and destruction, and because bammy brought his father before the TV cameras to send him a muzzy arab greeting.
The system is breaking down. Now we give backpay to those who fled their posts to join the enemy? Is that what is being debated here? The simple answer is the language. Forfeit all pay. Someone didn’t put the correct language in the charges and convictions. Lame legal prosecution
Absolutely NOT. He shouldn’t get a penny. Well I don’t know what the legalities are but the Army should do everything possible to remove or reduce any benefits since he deserted to the enemy.
Are we sure he did not co-operate with the enemy?
Oh my, reminds me of the “M*A*S*H” episode in which Frank Burns flips out over Margaret Houlihan’s marriage and gets sent home by Potter via a Section Eight, but then the Army (in it’s infinite wisdom as per Hawkeye) gives him a job at a VA hospital in Indiana and promotes him to Lieutenant Colonel.
I vote yes. But let the Marines delivery the check.
Theres a cure, but not enough people are willing to help remedy the problem.
>>forcing soldiers who knew the truth about Bergdahls betrayal to ( sign nondisclosure agreements.)
If they give this traitor a penny in back pay, then those NDAs shouldn’t mean squat.
Or they should get together with a ghost writer and write a novel that tells the story of a deserter, named ummm Rowe Bergdale, and the people who died and were injured trying to get him back and the cover ups that follow. Just a novel. Any resemblance to actual persons is purely coincidental, ya know.
Make that payment in 5.56mm NATO rounds at muzzle velocity and we have a deal.
He should be executed, not paid!
Hey, why not just give him the keys to the White House while we’re at it. These lawyers ought to be disbarred.
He’ll probably get it. We live in bizarro world.
I though he already got that when he got home? from Obama...

Yep. I’m amazed that “and forfeit all back pay” wasn’t put in the plea agreement. But maybe it was, and Bergdahl wouldn’t agree to it, so it was removed. This is a weird case all around.
