Both are on the Totalitarian end of the spectrum. How they do it is the difference, but both have the state ruling the individual.
True enough,particularly given that a fair percentage of them are Communists.
Among unbiased students of recent history you'll find that the verdict on both is YUCK!
But Nazism and Communism are both leftist just that Nazism is slightly to the right of Communism.
Nazism controls the means of production whereas Communism owns the means of production.
It was only after International Socialist triumphed that they labeled NAZIs “far right”.
In fact, both are different versions of leftism.
That is a false comparison for us in the U.S. Arguably, if properly enforced by the judiciary our Constitution, most specifically its Bill of Rights, protects us from right-wing radicalism.
Do you ever wonder why Communists always use the term “Fascist” instead of “Nazi”, even when referring to the Germans, even though only Italy was technically Fascist?
Could it be because they knew that Nazi stood for “National Socialist”, and it would be admitting that their enemies were fellow socialists?

Communism came out of Marx and Engals in London and Nazism was created from the Thule society, also out of England. Oh, and so is Zionism by Lord Palmerston in 1840 when he said the Jews desired to return to their homeland, England again.
Marxist regimes killed hundreds of millions and Nazis killed 9 million. But Communists had more time. I think it works out to Communists slightly ahead.

Yeah, we gave the great Soviets a free ride, after all they were our allies. Forced labor was used after the revolution, there were no benefits, but they did get a free lunch and a place to sleep. They went on strike too, but it didn’t last long it was quickly resolved with bullets and bludgeons. Sorry I give the prize for the most killings of innocent people to Uncle Joe. There is no difference. Different uniforms and flags, but he exact same concepts and points of view.
One thing I learned fairly recently...much to my surprise...is that Simon Weisental (the famous Nazi hunter and camp survivor) was once quoted as saying that the Stasi was worse than the Gestapo.
Pretty strong stuff,IMO...even if the Stasi was only equally psychopathic.
Both are socialist. There is no true communism. Everything is socialism,,communism is the end goal of,socialism and socialism never can be complete.
Fascism and Communism are neither right nor conservative in today’s American context. Both are left., and only by a matter of degrees. While conservatives want smaller, less invasive government both Fascism and Communism want a government based on totalitarianism. Both of these movements want total control of society by the government.
The reality is that conservatives want a small government. They want freedom. And they want the constitution to be followed. Our goal is to have a government that spends less, taxes less, respects private property and individual freedoms. And while Communists don’t want any private property, Nazi’s are not far behind in their ability to take your property and your freedom. And like the communists, Nazis try to define right and wrong. Not just legal and illegal.
As conservatives we should never allow Fascism to be defined as far right. Its far left.

Communism and National Socialism (Nazism) are both extreme left.
American conservatism is on the other side of the political/economic spectrum.
It is disingenuous (and intended to deceive) to call Nazism “extreme right”. Such a characterization serves no other purpose than to conflate conservatism and free economic systems with “Nazism”. Nothing could be further than the truth.
The collective left in this country with their desire to control business using the levers of government are closely aligned with National Socialism and Fascism. The so-called “anti-fascist” organization Antifa won’t even allow conservatives to exercise their rights of assembly and free speech. They are nothing more than a gang of Nazi thugs with truncheons, masks, and black shirts.

Look at the most stable Communist state today, China, and some of the varients, compare it to the Nazis, they are basically the same. The rhetoric is a little different but a lot of time has gone by. A Chinese citizen has as much power to speak out as a Nazi did. The economic systems are almost identical.
Countries have learned to accept communism. No one every learned to accept naziism.
