I'm comfortable with Elie Weisel's comment, there is a limit in evil beyond which comparisons are no longer relevant, though for some it is relevant in the context of recognizing evil.
Nazism is a great evil lurking in a bottle labeled “POISON”.
Communism is the same great evil but it lurks in a bottle labeled “CANDY”.
Same thing, really, but I think Communism is more dangerous.
But Nazism and Communism are both leftist just that Nazism is slightly to the right of Communism.

For both The State is Supreme. For both, violence and war are integral to spreading their ideology and very just and moral in their thinking. For both the individual is the servant of The State and totally expendable in the interests of The State. It is for the greater good you know.

About the only difference is if one or the other had of one is you would be speaking German or Russian but it must be pointed out that Marx was German. His ideology corrupted Russia, China, and Germany. Hundreds of millions have died because of this.

And of course Stalin was no fan of Jews neither. I still think he let Hitler go into the areas of the Soviet Union where most of the Jews lived, knowing Hitler would take care of his ‘Jewish Problem’ for him.
