McConnell will support Moore. He has to.
He knows AL is not going to elect a Democrat. He's going to have to deal with Moore in the Senate.
The relationship is starting out toxic. McConnell going against the wishes of his own partie's primary voters would be the kiss of death for him, and he knows it.

I expect he will. McConnell is an establishment kind of guy. He was supporting Luther who was the incumbent. The primary is over. Now Moore is the pub running against the dem.

I read, somewhere, the general is Dec 12. Don’t know why.

Checked the
Green Papers:
Alabama Special Partisan Republican Runoff for the Senate Class 2. This vacancy was caused by the resignation of Senator Jefferson Beauregard "Jeff" Sessions, III (Republican) re: accepting the position of Attorney General in the Trump administration. Since no Republican candidate received at least 50% of the vote in the Tuesday 15 August 2017 partisan primary, a Tuesday 26 September 2017 runoff is to be held between the top two Republican vote-getters, Roy S. Moore 40% and Luther J. Strange, III 32%. The special General election is Tuesday 12 December 2017.

Time Mitch McConnell is replaced as Senate Leader..He is a poor example of a leader. We need to begin calling the RNC and replace him...
RNC has lost me, so I more than likely won’t bother calling them, but sure will be watching every move they make...

Now it is time for Luthur Strange and his supportors to get behind Moore and support him fully.
This is time for conservatives to shine and those who are not fully in this camp need to support the conservative agenda for it is the People’s Agenda.

Better said than I would have done - and spot on. He’s also going to champion Biblical principles like none other... so the press will aim to destroy him... but Alabama won’t care.

I think Trumps endorsement of Strange confused people who then just stayed home.It could be the greatest reverse psychology trick ever played. Trump might have just been trying to get the Democrats to stay home.
Can someone explain why Trump didnt back Ray Moore, but backed Strange?
And why is this a win that Trumps candidate lost?
A lady caller to Rush just nailed it: "Trump backed Strange because he's is in the senate until December 5 and he needed his vote for repeal and replace and other votes." Also, probably arm twisted by McConnell and Kushner for that very reason. . I can just see McConnell saying, "Mr. President, if you don't back him, he'll take it as a slight and not vote for you." McConnell's out. . .
