GOP senator: If Moore wins, more people like Bannon will follow

(R-Ala.) says that a potential victory for Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore in the state's upcoming GOP runoff would prompt anti-establishment Republicans similar to former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon to "pop out of the woodwork" and sow discord in the 2018 midterm elections.

Shelby, the senior Alabama senator, told The New York Times that if Moore wins the runoff election against Sen. Luther Strange

(R-Ala.) on Tuesday, the Senate seat would become vulnerable to a Democratic challenge.

But if Strange wins, Shelby said, the incumbent would be sure to emerge victorious in the December election.

“If Roy Moore wins, Bannon and all the other of those people will pop out of the woodwork everywhere,” Shelby told the Times.

The President is betting that Strange will vote in lockstep if he saves his career. He already knows Strange is dirty.

Shelby will be almost 90 at the end of his present term (2023). I think he expects he will die in office.

I’m not sure Trump understood that being for Strange is in essence being against Moore. That’s why he said he may have made a mistake, he realized he was opposing his own people.

Good to remember that Trump is not a politician and though he knew some swamp games he’s still got a huge learning curve.

Prescott Bush was Nixon’s patron since his days in the late forties in Whittier, a few years after he was indicted for funding the Nazis, and at the same time Margaret Sanger put his name on as financier for Planned Parenthood. (A tradition that W and Rove have continued through 2012 at least. W Bush funded PParenthood for the full eight years.)

Prescott was point man to get Eisenhower to run for POTUS/Nixon as VP.

What does this mean? It means just as we are seeing in the modern GOPe... they only back guys they can blackmail into doing what they want.

I just wonder what the banksters have on McCain; we probably won’t ever know the whole story about Denny Hastert. Or Trent Lott. Or Boehner. Or Ryan. There is no way Prescott didn’t explain all to his family before he died; or that HW Bush during his time in the CIA in the fifties and early sixties didn’t already know what his dad had on their patsy Nixon.

My guess is the eighteen minutes of tape on a recording system that Nixon didn’t know was there... was some GOPeBush set up. And Nixon pointed out that all the Watergate guys were the same CIA henchmen working on Cuba in JFK’s day.

In any case, this is not “my theory”... any more than the fact that the Hinckleys were in business with the Bush oil businesses (probably both families CIA).

I will say straight up that I deplore the Bush family and wish they had never entered politics. It was Reagan’s greatest error to have chosen GHW Bush over a reliable Conservative like Sen. Paul Laxalt, who’d have made a fine successor as President.

However, some of the stuff here reads as convenient conspiracy material and nuts. When you stated that Prescott Bush was getting revenge on Nixon by the latter not having his son made VP instead of Ford in 1973, it simply defied the bounds of reality, given that Prescott was already dead. I think you attribute way too much pull and power to Prescott.

I’m a lot more troubled by the Bush-Clinton family connections and how much the two of them have been operating together since the drug running out of Mena, AR, in the ‘80s. Either these two families are engaged in willful collusion or they’ve just been blackmailing each other to maintain power for over 3 decades to the detriment of the entire nation and were all set to screw the country in the ‘16 elections via a Hillary-Jeb con job.
