ABC Developing Comedy About Undocumented Family With ‘New Girl’ Writer

ABC is developing a comedy about an undocumented family with “New Girl” writer and co-executive producer David Feeney, Variety has learned.

Titled “Sanctuary Family,” the single camera comedy would follow a hard-bitten husband and empathetic wife who butt heads over the chaos created when they provide sanctuary for their undocumented nanny and her family.

This is the latest project about immigration to go into development at the broadcast networks in recent weeks. Gina Rodriguez has set up Latino-led series at CBS and The CW. At CBS, drama “Have Mercy” centers around a Latina doctor who is unable to practice when she immigrates to Miami.

Meanwhile, Fox is developing “In the Country We Love,” based on the memoir of the same name by “Orange Is the New Black” star Diane Guerrero. That project was set up at CBS last year, with Guerrero attached to star as an attorney who begins defending undocumented immigrants for free.

Propaganda designed to manipulate the electorate.

Most of the vote rigging happening nowadays comes from Liberal media sources painting a deliberately false picture of reality.

Series are created for advertisers- not viewers.
Advertisers want immigrants, illegal or whatever.

One episode can have the illegal as a gang member and murder 3 by shooting them in a car because he thought they were wearing his gang colors.

Another episode could be a illegal deported 5 times finds a gun on the SF Pier and murder a young girl who died in her fathers arms.

Another episode could be a drunk illegal plows into a car and kills everyone in it.

Another episode could be of a gang member who had been in jail 10 time in 5 months get out and murder his cousin then after that murder a cop and injure another one..also that episode could show how the probation dept and city gov did everything they could and now can to hide how they let him back on the street again and again.

One more episode could be of a young man in college gets shot by a gang member while on the phone to his dad.

I have more ideas for the show, but will stop now.

You have to remember who is now helping hollywood. Frank Dodd is there and so is the tax evader Sharpton. hollywood has been owned by deep state for many years...gotta get out the agenda.

They no longer care about ratings on most shows...look at Colbert and the rest of them. The emmys was another example..if they wanted viewers they sure wouldn’t have let Colbert host it. It is about the message.

They have nothing but time and have patience. They never stop. Look now at gays....they put us thru gay shows for years and now we have trans issue.

They have one or two new generation’s now. BLM types and the yutes in school. Gotta keep them dumb and voter base for generations.

They really are completely in a bubble, huh.

Anybody got an over-under on how many episodes they force into the airwaves before they give up? Four?

‘They’ tried something like that a few years ago.

Remembering the ‘success’ of Cosby, a show was put out called ‘Roc’

It starred one Charles Dutton, a ‘reformed’ Baltimore type, as the husband who was a Garbage Collector, his wife was a nurse, his father was living in their basement and was ‘bitter’, and his younger brother was a ‘ne’er do well’, younger brother who was a musician.

I guess it was too close to home for most Blacks but most whites (or a good portion of the TV viewing audience) probably didn’t believe that BOTH of them had full time jobs and lived life pay check to pay check like a lot of us did...

Lasted a couple of years in the 90s on Fox and remember when Fox went sitcom it didn’t matter if the show was any good or not....I think more GOOD shows were cancelled by them rather than the bad ones......

Yet they canceled Tim Allen’s show..................

I loved how it was conservative and openly mocked Obama.

I wonder if Tim Allen has effectively destroyed his chances of ever voicing Buzz Lightyear again.

Funny story...when my son was about four, the first Toy Story came out and he and his friend loved it; we gave our son a Buzz doll and his friend got a Woody.

One day we got together for a play date. My son's friend said, "if you show me your Buzz, I'll show you my Woody." His mom and I looked at each other and cracked up. LOL!

“They really are completely in a bubble, huh.”

I am the one in the bubble because I never watch popular culture.

People I know who have been watching this garbage for many years started out moral and ended up defending moehammedans and supporting abortion, homosexual “marriage” and democrats.

Don’t underestimate the power of the popular media to mess with weak character.

Hollywood uses their platform to advocate for their own causes. Instead of complaining about Hollywood, though, wealthy conservatives ought to start a more conservative version to counter culture.

That’s an excellent start!

Let’s have this be a reality-based show, not some fantasy designed to make criminals appear sympathetic, harmless people who are merely searching for a better life.

Oh, and let’s not forget a couple of scenes where they take their under-the-table cash and send it by Western Union back home.
