Re: "The party's over: Republicans and Democrats are both finished"
Jim Robinson

Posted on 09/14/2017 3:06:21 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Well, there was this little thing called a VOTER REBELLION that occurred last November. Neither party wants to take responsibility (yet) for their own shortcomings, and neither party wants to admit (yet) that it's really happening. It'll take another election or two where the voters throw the bums out before they start getting the message.

It's way too early to send the success or failure of Trump's presidency to the jury, but I'm still happy. He already saved the nation from complete collapse under either Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton, the two uni-party favorites.

The establishment elites from both parties hate him to the core and will not lift a finger to help him move his agenda, so it's going to be doubly hard to succeed. But again, at least Hillary's agenda is not under consideration nor is Jeb's.

If Trump can horse trade and wrangle in his border wall, his tax cuts, continue his cuts to the EPA and other strangulators and get jobs and the economy moving again, and continue getting his conservative judicial picks conformed, then his presidency will definitely be a big WIN.

Meanwhile, we keep the rebellion moving. Lot's of Cantorizing yet to be done.

Your post is a breath of fresh air, Mr. Robinson.

I am so sick and tired of those on the right becoming unhinged over every move that this President makes.

Donald Trump’s entire career has been based on one thing that he has mastered and highly succeeded at, which is being a brilliant is NEGOTIATOR.

This man isn’t going to do anything that would in any way be detrimental to our country.

And as far as his being swayed by those around him, we have already seen him go against his Secretary of State and his own beloved daughter when he thought their political preferences would not benefit America’s best interest.

Whatever the subject, whatever the policy, whatever item is on his agenda list at the time, he is going to negotiate with anyone who will put something worthwhile on the table to help him reach his goal.

And let me say, as a staunch Conservative, I believe (as do my family) that the President is doing a fantastic job and is striking the right balance between securing our border, deporting the criminal illegal aliens, and getting those who were born or raised here through no fault of their own, legalized.

He is the first president who has ever really attempted to straighten out our entire, screwed up immigration system.

Personally, I don’t feel the contempt toward the so-called, “Dreamers,” that I’m seeing from too many people who call themselves Conservatives.

These people were born here, or brought here as children, and grew up in the only country that they have ever known.

Suddenly, after years of administrations coming and going, without closing our borders or holding illegals accountable, they are suddenly supposed to be rounded up and deported.

Well, that may be considered “conservative” to the Ann Coulters of the Republican Party, but it isn’t conservative in my household.

Trump says things just to steer attention to his issues.
His vagueness is like gas on an issue.
The GOP lies.
The Dems lie.
We elected Trump and I choose to trust him to make positive deals.
He's kicking the GOPe in the balls and some of us are getting jumpy. It's politics, and it's nasty.
He is kicking the can right AT the lawmakers by bringing to issue front and center.

I think Trump knows bad deals would make him lose in 2020.
MAGA.

Don’t just see the things that aren’t done..yes they exist but don’t forget to enjoy the positive. The unipaarty is mad as can be which is great. Paris Accord is dead no other politician would have pulled out of that agreement, period! Tpp was a gonner day 1. A thing of beauty. He is hammering the Obama EPA and there aren’t many candidates who would have prioritized that (I can really only think of one). Of course he’s been very big on deregulation and I absolutely believe him when he says he won’t stop with the deregulation. I know it’s easy to see what isn’t done but to me this has been extremely positive in just 9 months. He’s bound to do a few more positive things in the next 3+ years.

We would be Venezuela if Trump hadn’t won. That said, there is a Deep State coup going on. I know this is true from my involvement trying to get Harry Reid indicted, but the corruption extends all the way up the Uniparty.

Brietbart is Steve Bannon. He supports Trump on immigration.
The base is intentionally being inflamed.

The conservative base does nothing unless it is inflamed.

We go about our busy productive lives then in our leisure times we sit at our keyboards and expect Trump to somehow just sprout dictatorial powers.

Let the pitch forks and torches gather in DC! Trump needs our support, he has nobody else. As per usual the next election ‘really’ matters.

I believe the President needs more support from us. He will listen to us if we engage.

Illegals are down to trickled at border, ones already here are being deported and the wall is starting to be built.

Add to that conservative judges being appointed and China realizes it must change trade practises.

I am happyyyyyy and dont understand the glumness of some.

The Republicans must be challenged and the first race is coming up with the Alabama Senate Runoff on September 26th.

Roy Moore needs our support in the fight against McConnell’s man Luther Strange.

I am already committed to not supporting RINO’s in primary or general elections.

And RINO’s means 95 percent plus of them at all levels.
