Apply background checks for gun purchases to voting
The Chicago Tribune ^ | September 11, 2017 | John R. Lott, Jr.

Posted on 09/11/2017 4:24:39 PM PDT by rogerantone1

Republicans worry about vote fraud. Democrats claim that Republicans are just imagining things. But in testimony Tuesday before the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, I will suggest a simple solution that could make both parties happy: Apply the background check system for gun purchases to voting.

Democrats have long lauded background checks on gun purchases as simple, accurate and in complete harmony with the Second Amendment right to own guns. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., has bragged that the checks “make our communities and neighborhoods safer without in any way abridging rights or threatening a legitimate part of the American heritage.”

Though no one will EVER ‘crack the code’ of Libs, it behooves one to pay attention.

ONLY a Liberal could say ALL storms are man made and the more people etc means storms more ‘deadly’.
SO when one says, if your ‘theory’ is correct how can a STRONGER storm hit Texas or Florida now that Millions of homes have been destroyed and people without electricity - WHICH should (sort of) appease the Gods.

ONLY a Liberal could call a President Trump nominee a vile, racist, not fit to be alive, much less AG.
THEN, when PDT starts a rumor that Sessions’ head is ‘on the block’, these same Liberals & RINOs damn Trump for firing a Great American such as Sessions

ONLY a Liberal could take a 15 Billion budget, propose raising to 20 Billion and the ‘powers that be’ say we will make it 17 Billion ... LIBERALS scream from the rooftops that the Departments budget is going to be cut 3 billion this year.

Only a Liberal would go home and find his basement full of crap to the window wells and instead of fixing the leak/line etc they propose jacking up the floor above.

Now when I say only a Liberal, I fully realize that RINOs are in that mix.

The Pols of today etc follow the old VN reasoning-

We must destroy the village in order to save it.

The right needs to play turn around is fair play much more than is done. The tables need tuned but never are.

lol
Imagine the left’s counter argument to background checks and the need for ID to purchase fire arms target the poor adversely.

Would they inadvertently admit they don’t want lower SEC folks to have the ability to purchase fire arms?

You’re asking libs to be reasonable and therein lies the problem.Being reasonable doesn’t get them what they want.

And then there was a Minnesota Secretary of State who pre-positioned strategically “abandoned” cars with premarked ballots.

Minnesota used to liftwing ( with its Denocratic- Farmer-Labor party alliance) but it seems much worse nowadays, more corrupted anyway (,franken? Etc). Looks pretty sad. However there used to be a pretty strong honesty backbone in Minnesota culture. I wonder if it’s still there ?

awesome idea but - needs national centralization to cut duplicate voting in addition to non-citizen voting

Same here. Nice to see when common sense actually finds its way into the public consciousness. The big problem with this suggestion though is that it is based on logic and reason, both of which our adversaries are lacking. When they realize they have no counter-argument they will hit you over the head with a bike lock. That is, unless you are exercising your common-sense, second-amendment rights.

Anything that might give Democrats less chance of winning elections is not going to get any traction.

After all in California they want to give illegals the vote in local elections.

Damn, I never thought I’d agree with the simpletons at any major MSM outlet.

You're calling John R. Lott, Jr a simpleton?
