Pope Francis: Rights of Migrants Trump National Security Concerns
Breitbart ^ | 21 Aug 2017

Posted on 08/21/2017 10:16:09 AM PDT by detective

Pope Francis on Monday urged countries to greatly improve their welcome to migrants and stop collective expulsions, saying migrants’ dignity and right to protection trumps national security concerns.

Francis’ politically pointed message was made in view of the Catholic Church’s 2018 world refugee day, celebrated Jan. 14. It comes amid mounting anti-immigrant sentiment in Europe and beyond following waves of migrant arrivals and Islamic extremist attacks.

In the message, Francis demanded governments welcome, protect, promote and integrate migrants, saying Jesus’ message of love is rooted in welcoming the “rejected strangers of every age.”

Pope Francis has shown no concern for the innocent victims of terrorists.

just as he has shown no concern for the starving children of Venezuela.

Pope Francis is an evil man. He is not a man of God. He is not a Catholic.

He is getting paid by the billions for these ‘migrants’... some call it Catholic charities... This is human trafficking in the name of Jesus.

Start by removing the wall around the Vatican and let anyone enter at any time. Practice what you preach, Francis.

For the first time in my life, I almost want to curse out a Pope. Please, your Holiness; STAY IN YOUR LANE!
I noticed the Vatican is still nearly surrounded by those high, high walls and has been so for more than a thousand years. Pope Francis, Tear Down Those Walls!!
Or just leave Americans alone to run their own country.

“Let everything be done properly and in order.”

Christian confusion is common. Unless an entity is ready, for it to let into refugees willy nilly does neither it nor the refugees any huge favor.

What might better be urged is internationally supervised “temporary” refugee settlements.

Pope’s quote:

“Jesus’ message of love is rooted in welcoming the “rejected strangers”

My commentary:
Terrorists are NOT “rejected strangers”!

What we have here is an insurgent culture taking advantage of socialist largess.

I’m waiting for the anti-socialist message quoting 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13

“And we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly, and not according to the tradition which they have received of us.

For yourselves know how you ought to imitate us: for we were not disorderly among you;

Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nothing, but in labour and in toil we worked night and day, lest we should be chargeable to any of you.

Not as if we had not power: but that we might give ourselves a pattern unto you, to imitate us.

For also when we were with you, this we declared to you: that, if any man will not work, neither let him eat.

For we have heard there are some among you who walk disorderly, working not at all, but curiously meddling.

Now we charge them that are such, and beseech them by the Lord Jesus Christ, that, working with silence, they would eat their own bread.

But you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.”

Today’s Mass reading should be the dominant message in addressing problems in our world:
Jgs2:11-19

The children of Israel offended the LORD by serving the Baals.
Abandoning the LORD, the God of their fathers,
who led them out of the land of Egypt,
they followed the other gods of the various nations around them,
and by their worship of these gods provoked the LORD.

Because they had thus abandoned him and served Baal and the Ashtaroth,
the anger of the LORD flared up against Israel,
and he delivered them over to plunderers who despoiled them.
He allowed them to fall into the power of their enemies round about
whom they were no longer able to withstand.
Whatever they undertook, the LORD turned into disaster for them,
as in his warning he had sworn he would do,
till they were in great distress.
Even when the LORD raised up judges to deliver them
from the power of their despoilers,
they did not listen to their judges,
but abandoned themselves to the worship of other gods.
They were quick to stray from the way their fathers had taken,
and did not follow their example of obedience
to the commandments of the LORD.
Whenever the LORD raised up judges for them, he would be with the judge
and save them from the power of their enemies
as long as the judge lived;
it was thus the LORD took pity on their distressful cries
of affliction under their oppressors.
But when the judge died,
they would relapse and do worse than their ancestors,
following other gods in service and worship,
relinquishing none of their evil practices or stubborn conduct.

There are better ways even to do humanitarian outreach. Go to or near the places that are generating refugees.

Fine sentiment; terrible concept of execution.

Doubt any 'full' time... might do a photo op, to make it appear like he really cares. Just remember, 'we the people' by law, pay taxes to fund these migrants, for the length of their lives, right here in the USA to the tune of billions.

That’s very clear. It’s OK for m*slims to kill innocent people and to take their money.

This man is not fit to be pope.

Another possibility is to support local Christian communities close to areas that generate refugees if possible. They may be more heroic confessors (and sometimes martyrs) than we might imagine. Holy Spirit under pressure = spiritual dynamite.

One could anticipate a tradition of Koran kissing (and worse) to cause the Roman segment of Christendom to lose its wisdom.
